I was thinking of upgrading my old rig into a gaming one. But all I have is an Asus P8 H61-M LX3 R2.0 motherboard and a Xeon 1240v2(equivalent to i7 3770) and 16gb ddr3 ram.Buying a new motherboard is difficult for me ,since I have a PCIe 3.0 slot I thought of buying a new GPU. Is it okay for me to use a vega 56 or RX 5500 XT or 1660 Super cause these are my options currently and I can also find good PSUs for their recommended Power Usage for a cheap price. But recently a vendor just told me that It won't work cause the new graphics card are complex and power consuming. He is telling me to buy a 2gb graphic card from 2015 as that can only work as they do not require power from the PSU and only from the PCIe slot. Is he correct or wrong cause buying a new PSU and the fact that I have a PCIe 3.0 solves the problem
