:PI would not call it an experience with a non-techie but a complete idiot. One of my "friends" (an idiot bully classmate) was using Apple headphones and always complaining how they drop out his ears. I told him to stop whining and go buy IEMs. So he did buy a pair of the Sennheiser CX 3.00 because they were availavable from the local electronics store for cheap and he did not want to order online. So the next day he comes to me at school and grabs me by my shirt and yells at me that I have suggested him a bad pair of headphones. He said he was watching a movie with the headphones and the sound localization was reversed. So  I laughed in his face hysterically and said to him that he is an fucking moron and he asked why. So I said to him the headphones were in the wrong ears. He never tried to bully me again, because I said I would tell his friends about it.
