  1. Thank you for your advice. I have ordered the components like @PDifolco has given me. No I was talking about Farming Simulator 22. But I get the confusion.
  2. Budget (including currency): Under €800 if possible, €900 is max. Country: The Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (Farming simulator 22, Fifa 22) and some light schoolwork (word, excel, powerpoint) Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Currently PS4, No peripherals needed already have those, upgrading from nothing, timeframe: hopefully this or next week to buy everything, screen (TV) is 1080p 60hz and not really thinking of upgrading soon. Help! I would like a PC that can run Farming Simulator (FS22) of 1080p. I have bought a steering wheel for the PS4 but came to the conclusion that i cant change buttons which I do not understand that that isn't in the game. I have some money know and I think it would be a nice time to go from the PS4 to a PC. I have no idea what would be a sensible build. My Brother has the time to put it together but has no idea what kind of components I could get for under €800. Looking for some advice, would be willing to look for some secondhand components.
  3. Budget (including currency): Around € 1000,- Preference for € 900,- Country: The Netherlands Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming (FIFA, Farming simulator 22, GTA) and light school work (office365) Monitors: 1080p TV (will not upgrade in the near future) Peripherals: Not a concern, he can have my old ones. My Brother wants a PC, he games on a PS4 right now. The main reason for him to switch to PC is with FS22, more mods and WAY better steering wheel en logitech FS side panel support. I have build my own PC about 3 years ago and he asked me if I could build him one. He doesn't know a single thing about components. I know a bit but would like a bit of feedback from you. This is my idea so far. https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/kTk6pH I think the CPU is enough for what he wants within this budget. I don't know if I should get a different cooler then stock? GPU is where I have my doubts, FS22 is quit a heavy graphical game. Would it be smart to upgrade to a RX 6600 XT or maybe a RTX 3060? The motherboard is something I have no clue about, so please help? Memory 16GB should be enough I would think. Storage is a nice 1TB M.2. Could maybe even go to a 512mb. The case is a opinion thing, I have the Meshify 2S myself and really like it. My brother doesn't care about the looks even RGB is a rather not. Thank you in advance for your help!
  4. @Plouffe Thank you. I choose the Corsair LPX 16 because of the (in my opinion) simpler and better look. Thank you. I think I'm ready to start buying all the components.
  5. @Plouffe Thank you for your responds. I changed the CPU cooler to the FUMA 2. Thank you for clarifying that misunderstanding of the CFM. I choose the G.Skill Ripjaws V 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory for RAM do you think these are good DDR4-3600 memory?

(and I already bought it) With the g-sync manager comes a 2080 super. I don't like the looks of the corsair H500. I don't think the 3700x is a good option for €150 more then the 3600. Why should I get faster RAM if the CPU can't use that faster speed? Why do I need a bigger CPU cooler when the one I choose has a bigger CFM than the Scythe FUMA 2 51.17 CFM and is more expensive? These are serious questions because I want to learn more about computers and this my first build so this is all new for me. And everybody tells me something different.

The motherboard is now a ASUS PRIME X570-P as advised by bombastinator. The storage is now a Kingston A2000 (its a bit cheaper than the Crucial P1). The video card is now a MSI RTX 2080 super gaming X trio. What do you think about the changes? I'm still not sure about a case and case fans. Can somebody help me with that?
  10. If I look at what I want to change I decided to make it a full build and changed is to the right forum group. https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/1128292-first-pc-build-max-€2000/?tab=comments#comment-13082350
  11. Hello everybody, 1. I live in the Netherlands and have €1500 t/m €2000 to spend (without the monitor) 2. I want to be able to game on games like: Fifa, F1, Farming simulator, TDU2, Project Cars, Rocket league, minecraft, etc. 3. I want to buy the Alienware AW3418DW 34inch 3400x1440 120hz g-sync monitor. 4. My keyboard is a corsair k95 platinum, mouse logitech g602. 5. I want to upgrade because my current PC is getting old and isn't able to run most games as smooth as i want them to. 6. I want to be able to slightly overclock my CPU and GPU trough the AMD software and the MSI afterburner. I would like to have a silent setup but not water cooling (it is my first PC build after all). This is what I have so far: PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor €191.00 @ Azerty CPU Cooler Cooler Master Hyper 212 Black Edition 42 CFM CPU Cooler €34.95 @ Paradigit Motherboard MSI X570-A PRO ATX AM4 Motherboard €179.00 @ Azerty Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory €74.05 @ Azerty Storage Crucial P1 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive €75.95 @ CD-ROM-LAND Video Card MSI GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8 GB GAMING X TRIO Video Card €825.00 @ Azerty Power Supply be quiet! An example for the looks of the case: https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/cases/mid-tower/masterbox-5-black/ I hope I gave enough information for you to help me with my choice for the case and with the rest of the components. So what do you think?
  12. Thank you for your response but i don't think this is the step i want to make. And the 4770/4770k/4790k are not available anymore in the Netherlands for more than a year (I do not want to replace old hardware with old hardware). Thank you this does open some options. I want to get the Alienware AW3418DW because of its 1440p 120hz G-sync 34inch ultrawide capabilities for around €1000,- which I think is worth it. Otherwise I would have to get 2 (although 1 doesn't need to be high (144hz) dispay) 27inch 1440p monitors instead of 1. I think i rather get a ultrawide and then maybe get a smaller 1080p screen and put in above it. CPU: Thank you for the suggestion. With the difference in price the 3600x looks a lot better. CPU cooler: Do you think this should be sufficient? GPU: I think the 2080 super at €750 is a bit too much money. So I will keep the 2070 super. Or do you think it can't handle the 1440p 34inch ultrawide? Motherboard: Which X570 do you mean because I wanted to find it but there were more than 25 options (help?!) so for now I put the B450-F in which by GamingScan is a very good option for AMD CPU's. Storage: I forgot all about M.2 so i put in a 512gb NVME samsung 970 evo. I think this should be enough for my operating system and most frequently played games. The case and PSU are from the current PC. Do you think the current PSU could handle the step up? Beneath here is my new list with upgrades. 14. I want to upgrade my current PC. This is what I have right know. https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/user/Pascal0997/saved/xf8f99 What do you think about it? The games I mostly play are: Fifa, F1, Farming Sim, TDU2, Project cars, rocket league and minecraft. and use programs like word, excel, powerpoint and AutoCAD for work and school. The PC I have right know I bought like 4 years ago and did cost me around €1000,-. I want to build these parts in myself so any advice about that?
  15. I want to upgrade my rig. GPU: RTX 2060 super or RTX 2070 super. Depends on the prices on black Friday; CPU: I7; Motherboard: No idea yet; I probably have to upgrade my power supply too. I mostly play games like: Fifa, Farming sim, Rocket League, TDU2, F1 & minecraft. I mostly use my screen(s) for gaming and working on programs like word, excel & autoCAD (for school and work). My main monitor right now is a Dell u2515h. But i want to get 2 screens of the same size or 1 ultrawide. (and then my dell U2515H goes to my dad who still has a 1440x900 monitor)
