I guess it's Windows 10 fault for the most part, because i tried testing some other laptops from my friends and they all get that cpu throttle warning, i think it's the way Windows 10 prevents the cpu from overheating. I will post a Aida64 system stability test, probably this one will give you more insight regarding the problem! Thanks!

Yep, all drivers are up to date! You are right, trying to install linux on a brand new laptop was kind of a let's call it a "uninspired" move.But my question is why is this happening, for the most part is linux slow on updating the compatibility problems for new processors, is that the main problem, or there some other things i should consider? Hey there! I bought a week ago a new Lenovo Ultrabook 14" IdeaPad S540 IML with I7-10510U, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD, GeForce MX250 2GB, No OS, got it at a very good price and i was very excited with my best buy at that moment! As soon as i installed Windows 10 and all the drivers on it, i performed several userbenchmark tests and all the components work fine apart from the following warning which bugged me now for almost one week: "CPU throttled at 78% by Windows. Ensure maximum processor state is set to 100% via Settings > System > Power & sleep > Additional power settings > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings > Processor power management > Maximum processor state. " Userbenchmark Results Another detail worth mentioning is that i tried to dual boot this laptop(Windows 10 & Linux) and failed completely 2 times, first i tried to install Pop OS and failed because wifi didn't work properly, second time i tried with Linux Mint and that gave me an important info about the possible existence of a "overheating" problem, everytime i tried to boot from usb Linux Mint, during boot it said that "Core temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events = ?????)" followed by "Package temperature above threshold, cpu clock throttled (total events = ....)" and it would return to a black screen until i turn it off. Also i tried disabling throttling from the group policy, aswell as setting the maximum processor state to 100%, that value coming with the installation by default.Tried all kinds of tips and tricks in order to solve this, but i feel like it's above my capabilities at this point and that's why i need some help.I have a week left to return it.Should i take this warning as a serious hardware failure? The laptop it's amazing, snappy, nice design and all that, but if i can't do various things for example not being able to install Linux, and this throttling problem then i can't enjoy it to the max even though it has some of the best components for the price.Sorry if i posted into the wrong topic.
