  1. Another thing is that I do trust you and the fact that it will work okay with a b450 board - I just want to explore it more if you understand.
  2. Yes, I am aware of this, however, the ones I have seen is the 3600 and I know it works fine as I have built and used a ton of machines - I just haven't seen the 3700x been paired with it - I want to see all problems it might have or it might not. I want to see if it is okay to use a 3700x daily use with a b450 or should people just save up for the recommended x570 boards having to spend some extra cash. I will be back on in the morning as I have got a full day of exams tomorrow - have a good day
  3. Hello, so I have stumbled across apparently a very common question, does the 3700x perform good on a b450? I have looked around a bit and I have mostly found that it will work fine with some small problems like the XMP not working and that you have to setup it up manually, however, my biggest concern is that will it just fry the cpu due to something like bad vrms, I have read on this forum and on other forums of the motherboard thermal throttling cpus and even breaking them - I have seen some videos but non of them gave a clear answer. One example of this would be the b450 tomahawk max and non max with the 3700x, would this run perfectly fine or will it run with some problems and if so what problems. I am interested in what you say thank you.
  4. Hello, my friend is interested in buying a new gaming pc, he is not interested in overclocking before anyone asks. He has a budget of £1300 but you can go probably up to £50 over. He will be gaming a 1080p with low demanding games and also some triple A games as well. He also wants RGB and I mean a decent amount - this is annoying as the builds I have made don't include RGB and if I was to remove parts and replace with rgb it turns to be over £1400. I have managed to get 3800x and 2070 super or 3700x with a 2080, however, this is really close to going over £1400 when you add rgb fans for a example. I would love to see you guys ideas and builds thank you.
  5. Do you have any other suggestions as the mortar is a great board and I have had experience with them it is just that this person is ruining a low budget for their mobo with a tight £80. I would love it if you have any mobos in mind, thank you.
  6. I am currently making a pc and I am struggling to buy a mobo - the cpu I have gone for is the 3600 meaning amd=AM4 - I have got a couple of mobos but I can't find any reviews on them. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/PCKcCJ/asrock-b450-pro4-atx-am4-motherboard-b450-pro4 https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/kRTzK8/msi-b450m-pro-vdh-max-micro-atx-am4-motherboard-b450m-pro-vdh-max I have a small £80 budget, however I would prefer it to be a bit less. I am up for recommendations and help - thank you.
  7. Np, have a good day/night. xd.
  8. Hi thanks for responding - I am aware of this and that it is significantly better than the 1660ti however I am trying to stay under £800 and rn the build is sitting at about £790 - I am able to go for a blower 5700 sapphire card (£290), however, I haven't had good experiences with blowers cards due to thermals etc. If I do put in a 5700 I can also downgrade the cpu to a 2700 and lose some performance there however gain with 5700. If i have a 3600 + 5700 sap = £833 (around bout) 2700 + 5700= £802 . I you have any obvious solutions I am missing please say - it has been a long day xd. 9. Hi everyone, I am in the market for a new Gaming pc and I am wanting to build my first one - I have a budget of around £800 - The purpose of this pc will be for gaming and for work in the near feature - I have made an amd system and I will be now making a intel system to see how they compare, however, amd is better for price in this case unless I have missed something - here is the amd system (Friends pc part picker account) : PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor £170.47 @ Amazon UK Motherboard Gigabyte B450 AORUS ELITE ATX AM4 Motherboard £84.98 @ Amazon UK Memory Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory £79.98 @ Amazon UK Storage Kingston A400 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive £26.11 @ Amazon UK Storage Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive £35.58 @ Aria PC Video Card MSI GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6 GB VENTUS XS OC Video Card £259.99 @ Box Limited Case NZXT H510 ATX Mid Tower Case £69.68 @ CCL Computers Power Supply EVGA BQ 650 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total £726.79 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-01-16 19:04 GMT+0000 I am able to get the PSU for about £70 odd £ - for the psu I can go for a lower W than 650 I think. This makes it to about £793.28 - I can also swap the 1660 ti for a RX 590 but I think the 1660 ti is a solid choice for this build. I am welcoming of any feedback and pros + cons about this build - I haven't done a ton of research into some of these parts. The case is just a case I put in- it will not be the one I will get but the price will range upto £70 so I just put the H510 (£70). Thanks in advance - Have a nice day. (Please make sure any links are in the UK format)
  10. I would be happy to go with something like this however I am not 100% sure on this since, I can not find a single review online. Do you have anything to support ur monitor??
  11. Hello, if I am lucky I might be able to grab a quick Black Friday deal however I am a bit late to this train. I am looking for a new monitor to buy, my budget is about £350 and I am hoping to get a 144hz 1080p or 1440p, I have a 3700x and a rtx 2070 Super what should be fine for 1080p 144hz gaming but I am not 100% about playing at 1440p 144hz. I am more into my graphics instead of being a competitive gamer so I am not sure about what panel I should go for but I am thinking of going ips, however, they tend to be more expensive. I really hope somebody responds as I would like to get a Black Friday deal or find a good monitor. (Getting Fed Up nw, nobody is helping). Some monitors I been suggested are: https://www.asus.com/uk/Monitors/VG279Q/ - Think it is too much money for what it is (not 100%) Acer Nitro XV272UP p.s 32' is too big 27' or lower if have to be.
  12. Hello, I am in the market for a new monitor I have found this one https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/asus/vg279q on Rtings.com/amazon. I have a budget of £350 to £400 UK BRITISH Pounds. I am using it for non-competitive gaming therefor do not need low ms however it still would be nice. I don't really mind what panel it is however IPS is the one above I think. Please link any suggestions for monitors all will be good. Thank You. Goodnight.
