Jeppes got a reaction from RevGAM in Should I flip my reverse fan on the PSU shroud?
Just based on the blades alone it looks like a reverse fan pulling air from the psu chamber.

And looks like the psu fan is also facing down so no issues there.

What do you define as good? CS2 is quite demanding if you want to game competetively and not give a meaningful advantage with HW alone. Try to get an nvidia gpu because it has reflex, with amd you have to limit fps to somewhere near 60 if you dont want to give a huge 20-30ms advantage on gpu heavy spots like fading smokes etc.

Just use the second fan that comes with cooler as rear exhaust. You wont need two fans with that cooler anyways. Ditch the extra rgb-fans. I would guess prices have changed quite a bit after you posted as that ssd makes no sense now with 160$ price and same goes with the 7800xt that is priced higher than some 7900xt:s.

Jeppes got a reaction from PDifolco in Am I exceeding my PCIE Lanes?
Most likely its the cpu holding you back. 3900x is prone to latency spikes thanks to the L3 being shared for 3core units. Its like a (3+3)+(3+3) setup where as the new 3D models that work great with games are a single 8 with much faster cores. You could upgrade to a 5800x3d and sell that old one, 150-220$ upgrade depending on how much you get for 3900X there.

    Jeppes got a reaction from 256shadesofgrey in 750W PSU enough for 7950X3D + 7900XT?
Running at its limit? Its not even close. You can say what you want about ltt and their testing but they did a good job countering the psu alarmists testing a 4090 with 650W with 0 issues. People also seem to forget that going amd 8-core or 12/16-core 3D is already a -100W recommendation when compared to high end intel cpus.

And quality units like corsair rmx are never close to the advertised wattage. You can run +200W constant loads with that unit like reviews show. So even if you have lost 200W with aging, what i highly doudbt, you would still have 150-250W extra for that pc.

    Jeppes got a reaction from 256shadesofgrey in 750W PSU enough for 7950X3D + 7900XT?
You do realize there is a difference between a 50ms peak and constant load? It is specced 750W for constant loads, not for short lasting peaks.

And it being an rmx, its not really a 750W when new. Even if you count in some aging, the likelyhood of it being capable for less than 750W in first 10 years is miniscual and you can rma it if that happens.

LTT cooler reviews have been quite horrible for years. I think they are one of the major tubers pushing less informed people buying Noctua over a competitor offering same perfomance for 1/3 of the price like it is with U12S. Would love to see a blind test where the staff tries to hear a difference between Arctic p12 max and the LTT hyped Noctua F12 🙂

Jeppes reacted to brob in GPU pairing with i7-5930K? Looking for advice.
What's wrong with using the RTX 3060 Ti? If memory serves, the i7-5930K was usually a decent overclocker. Should get to 4.2 GHz easily and 4.5 was fairly common. Although the cooler would probably make that unrealistic.

Noctua A14 is just worse than cheap Arctic p14. Silent wings 4 should be a lot better but that case has that common and stupid fan bracket that obstructs airflow more for 140mm fans than for 120mm ones. So Phanteks t30 3-pack or Deepcool fk120 3-pack is what I would get.
