    What a post! And funny you mention the HarmonicDynes as they were my third competitor to the m1070 and Sundaras. Been also packing ALOT of zeos the past few days, and some Josh Valour. Definitely may go with those. I have noticed my pc’s onboard has an “ultimate” option that amplifies a bit, a tiny bit but noticeable, and that paired with the Peace Eq wasn’t terrible. Would I be able to use my existing vmoda with the Zeus or maybe get an Atlion or something? I do definitely need to look at amp and dac and combo reviews to get a decently general idea of those as well. I keep hearing zeos mention a balanced cable and don’t quite get that part yet, but I can find videos on that also. Thank you guys so much for the help, exciting stuff!

    Yea definitely feeling the 1070 and the sundaras at this point. There are some other in that price range too but don’t have too much on them yet as far as comparison and or gaming. Thanks everyone for the responses so far!!

    Anything and everything mentioned in this thread will be undergoing various YouTube review videos lol so a lot will be based on those. Midway through a video on these Tygrs and I see the only place to get just them and not the mic combo is straight from the source. Secondarily I see they are out of stock :(. I will continue to watch the review as I’m genuinely interested. A couple of development questions. -Should I get an amp or amp/dac combo to start? All mentioned seem like very well reviewed places to start -Should I look for one that has headphone only or headphone and mic combo? And does having both inputs take away from what it will do to/for the headphones? -My first round of research found generally that surround and gaming aren’t exactly the cream of the crop. Or maybe that’s just my not so knowledgeable takeaway from it. Should I stray from something like the G6 or am I completely ignorant in what I’m saying and thinking that would translate into my shps or what I purchase? -Lastly $199 to $299 or $349, tygrs to maybe m1070 price, would that justify sound quality? Could 1070s blow the tygrs away? I’m looking to make a biggish jump (I know audio can get silly expensive) so I’m looking for something mind blowing if such a thing exists for gaming purposes. Sorry I feel like that’s a ton of stuff to throw out there but with more knowledge I feel these are necessary questions

    Not a lot of knowledge in the audio space, yet atleast. Been doing research and that first led me to the SHP9500s which have been great for my gaming needs for two years. This is what they’ll be used for and for FPS games (valorant, Tarkov, battlefield) so imaging is super important. More recent curiosity and research have lead me to the Monolith m1060,1070s or the Hifiman Sundaras, atleast at this stage. Wondering if anyone has any experience with these or better possibly for the $4-550 range? I also was wondering about the use or need of an amp if I make this step up as I’ve just plugged the ships into my tower and gone with it (although I use Peace EQ’s pre-amp for tarkov). Open backs and planars seem to be the way to go and just trying to get as much feedback as possible before the big purchase. Thanks to anyone for the help

    Downloaded the X1 and while it doesn't seem to let me outright change the fan speed, the curve seems to be kicking in and working so thank you! Hopefully this can be a perma-fix until i upgrade.

    Not sure what's happened in the past few days but every time I open Afterburner my computer has huge freeze patches and afterburner keeps not responding and I can't do anything or adjust anything with it. Sometimes freezing my computer completely. I have no OC applied or running, just temp limit and power limit maxed. I have a FE 980ti with the blower so some games i turn the fan up to avoid high temps while playing. There was an Nvidia update from just the other day i finally got to see if that was it and no dice. I have also already tried to un and then reinstall Afterburner. Anyone ever experience the same issue under the same circumstances?

    Thank you to everyone who has helped! Turned out that I received a bunk copy of windows. Went to another computer and downloaded a freshie and shes been good since! I did run into a mild random restart issue whilst having xmp and my gpu oc going but ive decided not to push my luck lol. And just run stability for the next few weeks. May be a voltage thing but there will be a time. I purchased a Supernova 1000w gold power supply and used the cable from it to run my gpu and other components. Shorting out meaning that my mobo power button light would flicker and that was it. Everything had been plugged in and hybrid was off. But since the 1000w and those cables and a fresh install of windows i’ve been doing alright

    Computer will work and boot now its drivers and getting anything software wise to actually be normal and functional. Web browsing was fine and downloading things like cpu id and hwinfo went fine. But the graphics card driver was next to impossible to do and was messing everything up. First time got stuck in restart loop then had to reset pc and it redownloaded windows on itself. Tried a different driver the next time and same instance but turned back on and wanted me to get the control panel. Which said i had a driver i think from Nov., wanted another reset and and now control panel said newest version again. Went through some 3D settings and though all was normal. Until i tried to run heaven benchmark and tried to download Origin. Both gave some msvcp100 dll missing Error. So on to researching that found that microsoft visual c++ wasnt working or installed properly so i tried to repair that and no doce. Been stressing for days and every potential fix seems to have a dead end or road block and i just Dont understand why a literally new everything minus a gpu wont just work

    So, developments since last post. PSU turned out to be the reason nothing worked. My buddy took mine out and put his in and it turned on. Went to best buy (my only option) and bought a new EVGA 850 GQ. Brought it back hooked it up and it was shorting itself out and not working so back to best buy. Right before i get there buddy calls to tell me bios isnt reading ssd now and hes tried multiple things multiple times. So now i need to buy a new SSD and PSU. $350 later and i have a working computer downloading windows (no key). Get it back to my house last night and nvidia drivers are impossible. Download the newest ones after checking windows updates. And get a stuck black screen half way into install instead of the normal black and then back. Left it to sit and finish for twenty minutes and no screen came back on so i had to reset. This triggered a restart loop where the computer restarted itself yet kept saying it wasnt restarted correctly. From there was a series of trying to reset the pc and start square one with computer reinstalling windows on itself and then trying to get any sort of graphics driver. Can’t seem to be done and today i tried to download windows to a USB and reformat and apparently windows didnt download correctly so i cant even do that

    Also to this, i had mounted it based on where the heat fins had the cutout for the ram clearance. And could i not also just flip that left end fan to the other side?

    My buddy is bringing it to his house shortly today. He has the same processor so a simple swap will tell me if its what you’ve said or if the mobo or cpu were just DOA

    Tried pushing the power button and it, just like my front button, doesnt initiate or change anything. No cpu fans and no more lights than the two. I’ve also tried reset button next to power and the clear cmos. Unfortunately no code displays either just those two lights

    Talked months ago of upgrading and finally received all parts. Parts: MSI MEG UNIFY x570 Ryzen 3900X ac1200i corsair power supply trident z neo 3600mhz dual 16gb stick ram scythe fuma 2 cooler nvidia 980ti cooler master h500m Can attach pics of build as is now. But i really believe everything is hooked up correctly via mother board and psu. Plug everything into everything then psu into the wall and nothing turns on or spins except for the motherboards on-board power button and the clear cmos button on the back. Ive completely disconnected everything and double checked placement. Im shook and hoping i dont have dead hardware of some sort. Is there any possibility my case could be DOA? Ive triple check the front wires to the motherboard and just don’t know what it could be
