Hi, I currently own a DELL G3 Laptop. It has a Intel Core i7-9750H, and 16GB of 2667Mhz RAM. I am wanting to upgrade it 3200Mhz RAM. Am I able to do this or is that speed of RAM not compatible?

Hi, I am currently looking at getting a computer that someone is selling. The specs are as follows: - CPU: i5-6600k (Overclocked to 4.5 Ghz reliably) - GPU: R9 390 (8gb model) - RAM: 8GB 2330Mhz - Storage: 500gb SSD, 1TB HDD - OS: Activated version of Windows 10 - PSU: EVGA-850 B2 This computer comes with a 1080p monitor (60hz). The seller is asking for $500. My situation right now is that I want to build a computer in a year to a year in a half from now, but I want to have something better than my 2 year old laptop until then. My idea for this was to buy the computer and upgrade the ram with ram that I would use in the future build (probably 16Gb @3200 or 3600 Mhz) just not overclock it all the way to the max rated clock speed. I wanted to buy this system now and buy the RAM later during Amazon Prime Day, all for an extra $100. I already have a high refresh rate monitor, mouse and keyboard, so I won't have to worry about that. Is this a good deal? Should I change my plan? Hi, I recently was looking around on hardware info and had noticed something. I noticed that the clock speed per 8 gb module is only 1333Mhz. The 2666Mhz clock speed that task manger is getting seems to be just 1333Mhz * number of RAM modules (which is just 2 in this laptop). The laptop I have is a DELL G3, and the specs are shown in the screen shot attached. Is this normal for laptops? I know that in desktops the RAM speed is normally just what ever the module is rated for, not the number of modules times the speed of the modules, unless I've completely misunderstood the way that RAM modules work in a computer. Also, is there any way that I can over clock the clock speed of the RAM, there's no way for me to do it in the BIOS. Thanks.

I was on PC Part Picker the other day and in my config I used a Ryzen 5800X and paired it with a X570 motherboard. When I did that, it gave me an error saying that I would need to give the board a BIOS update with an older CPU that is already supported in the BIOS. Is there a way to update the bios in a motherboard without having to use a second CPU and just use the new CPU that you already have?

Hi, I am currently picking parts for a PC build and wanting to use an intel i7-9900k in the build. I'm wanting to use an aio cooler to cool the cpu, but I don't know if I should use one that uses a two fan radiator or a three fan radiator. Is there a major jump in performance when using a three fan aio vs a two fan aio? Thanks

Hi, I need a little help looking for a cheap programming laptop with the following requirements. 1. It needs to be something light. I want something that I could take on the go without carrying a brick. 2. As it says above, it needs to be "cheaper". I'm looking for something around $300 to $400 range, anything a littler bit more or cheaper is accepted. 3. With regards to cpu and gpu power, I am in no need of a dedicated gpu. The processor, I would prefer a quad core, but a dual core will suffice. Clock speed should be 2.0 Ghz or above. 4. When it comes to ram I'm not planning on doing any android development on it, so there doesn't need to be a lot. 4 gb will suffice, 8 is preffered, 16 would be great. I know it seems kind of weird to ask people on a forum for this kind of thing instead of just doing some research myself, but who knows. Someone could read this and know of a laptop off of the top of there head. Thanks

I am currently putting some files (around 5 GB) on a PNY 256GB 3.0 USB Thumb Drive. I don't know the exact specs on the thumb drive it self, but I am having an issue with the write speeds on it. Throughout the process the thumb drive's write speed will go up to around 80 mb/s one second and the next second it will go down to speeds as low as 5mb/s (or sometimes near or at 0mb/s) and then freeze for a few seconds only to rise back up to 80 mb/s for one second and will repeat the cycle. Could this be a software issue or just bad hardware? The picture attached shows the write speed graph.

I currently have Dell G3 with an Intel I7-9750H, a GTX 1660TI, and 16 GB of RAM. I ran a cinebench run and the score was quiet low. I ran it again with control panel and a hardware info tab giving CPU temps, and saw that the processor was only running an average of 3 Ghz and was at 95 to 100 degrees Celcius. This is confusing to me seeing how my processor's max turbo frequency is 4.5 Ghz. Is it not reaching this speed because it's getting too hot, or is it some other config that I don't have set. (Also my power setting is set to high performance, Don't know if this helps)

Hi, I currently have a DELL G3 15 laptop with a NVIDIA GTX 1660Ti and an Intel i7 9750H. I've been playing Destiny 2 on it recently with most settings set to high (some are just set one setting below the highest setting) and motion blur off. Within the first 2 minutes of me opening up the game, my fans start running at max speed, which leads me to believe that the GPU is already getting super hot. Should I be concerned about possible over heating or any other damage that I could cause on my computer? Any advice is appreciated, Thanks.
