Thank you all for the replies. Like I said, this wasn't concrete or anything, I was just curious at the value. And full disclosure, I thought about selling it to a friend of mine as they don't care for the latest and greatest. Me either, but I'd benefit more from a newer build than them if y'all get what I'm saying. But all this was a training exercise anyway to just see what the current value looked like. I didn't plan to do another build until at least 2027 personally unless I came into some more disposable income, haha.

Here is an older pic of the PC. Too lazy to get a close up, but It's more less the same. Only change is the positioning on an ikea cabinet and that I had added a 4TB NVMe that I intended to keep, haha.

Once again thank you all for the replies. @PDifolco as well.

I mean you have a top 5 gaming cpu in there so like just slap a better gpu in it if you want some more graphics horse power and call it quits? Like a 5800x3d has NO TROUBLE playing ANY GAME WHAT SO EVER

Am5 isnt going to give you a big upgrade if that is what you are hoping for

    As for valur got pics?

Depending on that id say 900-1200$.

Again just put a better gpu in it if you need an upgrade am5 isnt worth it when you have a 5800x3d.

Send a pic of it, post it even better but 5800X3D with 6800XT is already top 5% when it comes to performance. You'll spend some $1500-2000 for 7800X3D and 7900XTX just to move up to something like top 4%, maybe top 3%. Not really worth it.

I won't upgrade it now, you'll gain very little for mucho money by going AM5
If you're playing 1080p high refresh rate you already have plenty, if you're playing 4K ultra settings CPU upgrade won't do sh#t get a 4090 😛
Or at least wait for the Ryzen 9000s

When selling used, I just go by the used part value of each component. People aren't going to want to buy something used that they can find for cheaper on ebay.
Search eBay for each component and filter it by sold items. That will give you an actual good average price to go off of for each component. Then combine them for a total build value.

For competitive 1080p gaming you need the better gaming CPU, 7800X3D
But no need for the most expensive cooler on this 100W chip
Also no need for RAM > 6000MHz as they likely won't work  above this
Swapped the SSD for a WD one I know is good, but the Sabrent was ok too

That's a big yikes. I just hope they identify the real affected users and not some meatball who really is cheating and turned on AL+ to say "Hey look at me, I turned it on too" and gets unbanned.

With that out of the way, I just laugh. Gaming didn't used to be so hard back in my day. The 2010s and up have been absolute garbage, lmao.

    wrong PSU. you need ATX.

On simulation titles you would be more CPU and cache bound and considering this is a 1080p system, id go for more IPC than more GPU power. But maxxing out the budget can yield us 6800XT which would do a bang up job for 1440p60 on pretty high quality settings.
