Pharazon001 got a reaction from meidi in How to have different backgrounds for different monitors without having them change automatically regularly?
i use a program called Wallpaper Engine to manage my wallpapers. Really powerful since it can do animated backgrounds too. I got it through steam and you can use the steam workshop to browse a very large collection of wallpapers. Plus it links with RGB software like iCue so that the curtains can match the drapes

Pharazon001 got a reaction from Moonzy in Graphics card sounds like a jet engine
one thing that happened with my 2080ti was that the fans would go to 100% sometimes, even when the temperature wasn't redlining and it was because the themal paste was badly applied and one bit of the die was getting too hot..

i had to manually repaste the gpu and all was fine after that...

this was an evga 2080ti black gaming edition.

Pharazon001 got a reaction from Bombastinator in Gigabyte Auros 2070 OC Fans issue
i had a similar issue with my card although it's not a similar card but even though the "thermal limit" of the card was 84c whenever the card would hit 78ish the fans would turn to 100% even though the fan curve didn't ask for it...

it was suggested to me that it was possibly an incorrect application of thermal paste that wasn't completely covering the dye, causing part of the chip to get too hot (hotter than the given temp) and that would cause the surging fan speed. i repasted my gpu and this solved my problem but i know not everyone is comfortable doing this and just becuase it worked on my evga card certainly doesn;t mean that a gigabyte card might have a similar issue.
