  1. Now something even weirder happened. We changed the cables and the sata port and when we booted into the bios it showed as a WD Model at 1000GB. So we said everything is fine now. But when it booted to windows and we went into disk management the exact same thing happened. Not recognized and I/O Error. We tried again and restarted the computer but now it stopped showing into the BIOS again.
  2. I hope so...Either way, thanks for all the support on this matter.
  3. I searched through the WD Forum about other people who have the same problem and it looks like it might be a firmware issue. Currently the computer has no Internet from when we first installed Windows. When it has access to the Internet I will try updating the driver in device manager.
  4. I will do that when I get back to the house because it asks me for the serial number and the firmware ver. and those are displayed on top of the HDD
  5. Just to show you what I am talking about check this icon from a user that has the same problem. This is exactly how my HDD is shown on disk management.
  6. Well, in Bios it is just labeled as SATA 3 : 0.0gb. Just that.
  7. The drive is brand new, never dropped, don't know what a shucked drive is and the cables are brand new and came with the corsair cx550m psu and mobo. I did not try it on other computers though. Also I tried to change to sata1 or 2 port but still the same error.
  8. OK I will keep that in mind. Thanks for caring. Oh by the way, I posted another problem that I have in storage devices about an hdd not showing up. If you can go check it and reply I would greatly appreciate it.
  9. I cannot access the computer at the moment. The motherboard is a Msi B450m BazookaV2.
  10. Whenever I try to access it in any way by initializing it or trying to format it, it displays an io device error.
  11. So I recently built a pc and everything is working well. SSD, CPU, PSU everything. Except the HDD (Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB). The data cable is plugged on the mobo and the power cable in the PSU. But when I opened the PC it only showed the Kingston SSD. The HDD is shown that it is plugged in SATA 3 But on the Bios, it just says SATA 3 : It does not show the name of the HDD and nor the GB (shown as 0.0gb). It is also not shown on this computer and in disk management. It is labeled as "unknown device" and the gigabytes are not shown. Is there a solution to the problem?
  12. 1. Nope, I have not screwed it all the way down. It has a gap which you said it's normal. 2. I have screwed the board in the three standoffs that the box had. So it is screwed in 3 positions. Top left, Down Right and in the middle. Thanks for the quick reply and support
