I'm running an RX580 8GB and am picking up an Oculus Rift tomorrow. To run it I need an HDMI port, my card only has one, which is currently in use for my monitor. To free up this port I bought a DisplayPort to HDMI cable, I've confirmed this cable works with my brother's computer. The problem that this thread is about arises when I boot up my computer with the displayport to hdmi cable, displayport in the computer and hdmi in the monitor. It shows me the ASROCK logo from my motherboard and then a Windows logo with the loading icon, right after that the monitor goes black and reads "No Signal". I tried plugging in my old HDMI cable into my monitor and into my gpu and that worked just fine. I've booted into Safe Mode to see if that worked and that was perfectly fine.
