  1. Mine actually gets power from a sata cable but the conclusion that I came to is that it is pulling power for some reason even though it shouldn't be so it has to be something in the CPU cooler itself. Also thanks for the info it atleast makes me feel better that they aren't going to damage anything.
  2. That's interesting so your aio continued to run the fans after the computer was powered down? I guess that if I get the new aio and still have issues I'll learn to live with it. Did it ever cause you any issues long-term as far as things burning up or the fans going out. Also if I pull my fans and plug them into the board they do not try to spin or have any issues. I'm pretty sure that the issue is with the Cooler.
  3. After trouble shooting and messing with things I think I have come to the conclusion that it is the CPU cooler. If I plug the fans into the motherboard headers they do not have any issues. They do not try to spin or anything. If I plug system fans into the CPU fan cables that come off the CPU block they start to stutter and spin. I also realized through all of this trouble shooting that the CPU block draws power from a sata cable and after plugging in a new one and changing ports I still have issues. TLDR Its the CPU cooler itself and hopefully the replacement goes smoothly.
  4. So I just installed a new motherboard (Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Pro WiFi) tonight because I originally ordered the wrong one. After I got it installed my fans are staying on on my Corsair h115i platinum. After I shut the PC down the LEDs turn red and the fans stutter until they start spinning at a very low rpm. It's also worth noting it is just the Corsair fans and my regular case fans that I have hooked up to the fan controller in my case do not seem to have any issues. Both the aio and the fan controller are hooked up to the motherboard. The AIO is hooked up to a CPU fan and the fan controller is hooked up to sys fan one. I have googled it and it seems that it could be a motherboard issue and I didn't have this problem with the other mother board so I am assuming that's it. Does anyone have any experience with this? I have switched off the power supply and unplugged the cord because I don't want to burn up anything if the motherboard is storing power.
