  1. Hi all, I'm in the process of buying a new computer, but have no parts yet. Here's what I have planned: Ryzen 5 3600 G.Skill Trident Z Neo 16GB DDR4-3600 Memory Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super OC My dilemma is about the monitor that I'll buy. I know for a fact I want 1440p, IPS. I want to be pushing good frames (coming from playing console at 30-60 FPS, lol). The monitors I'm looking at are the Alienware 34" ultrawide (AW3418DW) and a 27" counterpart, I've looked at both the LG 27GL850-B and the Gigabyte AORUS AD27QD-SA. I've done a fair bit of research and it sounds like I would love the ultrawide experience, but I've also seen that it's hard to push good performance on a monitor like that. I don't want to spend a fortune on a 2080ti. With my setup, would I be better off playing on a 27"? Or is it good enough to get an amazing experience on an ultrawide? *Note: The games I play would be all over the place. AAA games, side scrollers, strategy/city-building games, first-person shooters like halo or COD, adventure games, basically all around the board. *Another important note: I do graphic design on the side, and spend a fair bit of time in Photoshop. I also mess around in Excel, and browse the web a lot. I have a separate TV for movies and TV shows, but I would use the monitor for YouTube (yes I know there would be black bars on the UW). Thanks in advance!
