  1. you can get a rx5700xt for cheaper if you look around and they outperform the 2070. i got my gigabyte gaming model off of neweggs ebay page for $360usd.
  2. so for the longest time ive been stuck on the 20.4.2 driver and everytime ive tried to update i would get screen flicker problems that get worst the longer i play a game. i install the new drivers and restart my pc when prompted then when i get to the desktop i am met with a flicker or 2 then its fine till i start trying to run 3d programs or doing anything that uses the gpu. i dont want to jump to conclusions and say its the driver because i have a sneaking suspicion my psu might not be able to supply the correct amount of power to my 5700xt. the gpu runs at around 2020mhz core with a junction temp of 70c. if anything ill drop my evga 1000 watt unit into my rig if my current psu dosnt have enough power on the rails in order to power my gpu. ryzen 9 3900x asrock b450 fatal1ty k4 32gbs corsair vengeance pro rgb 3200mhz 2 sabrent rocket 1tb ssds (raid 0) thermaltake smart 750 watt gigabyte rx5700xt gaming
  3. After installing a 240 for the cpu i can happily say it is running at 4.2 at 1.375 volts. The system no longer crashes out on cinibench r20 and can even run aida 64 now with both cpu and fpu tests running without any crashing. On a kraken x52 240 it sits at a happy 85c on aidas stress test running fpu and cpu.
  4. Also take into consideration that every motherboard may react to over heating differently. Mine has no options in the bios to set a temp target. The cpu ran cool and i dint have this issue until i put a 120mm rad in the front for my gpu and it changed the pressure in the case. I just ordered a nzxt 240mm aio and a 45gram tube of mx-4.
  5. Again the cpu hits 105c and dosnt have time to throttle. It is behaving like my vega64 which pegged 105c and shut off right away and after multiple repastings i finally got the hotspot down to 90c. I dont think its instability as i havnt had any games crash. Ive fully loaded it using minecraft at 128 render chunks and even then the cpu was up to 90c. No crashes or anything. The system crashes when the cpu hits thermal shutdown.
  6. Id be using 110 cfm fans on the radiator so i should be able to do it but even then its a bit out of my comfort zone.
  7. Idc about noise i already have 3 110cfm fans that are cranked to the max.
  8. It should be fine but i need to get temps under control. Im thinking about another aio but i dont think having 2 aios will look that good.
  9. It should be enough but with 1200 watts id be cutting it close in terms of headroom with my breaker in my apartment.

  11. I was gonna go with a g skill 1200 watt unit also im probably gonna order the 240kit and worst comes to worst i can always order another 240mm rad or 360 it.
  12. Yeah i thought about another aio but i dont want to have a 2 aios in 1 system. I was looking at the 120mm asus aio.
  13. I would but after i ocd i saw a 20 fps jump on modernwarfare. The games i run use more than a few cores.
  14. I dont run that high of temps during gaming. Highest i see is around 70c and mind you i run 1080p 240hz
