  1. 1. just close the window! It shows a fan icon in the system tray (make sure to check the arrow down there). In the app Settings section, there is also an option to minimize on launch (start minimized). Be sure to also check the Tray Icons section if you want temperatures displayed in the tray. 2. It happened to me, if I remember correctly it has to do with variable refresh rate (in my case GSync). Go to your nvidia panel (or AMD, if applicable) and make an exclusion for this particular app. It didn't happen on my latest install, so I don't have any fresh memory of it. In any case, i'd go that route in my google troubleshooting search!
  2. It's odd, my HWInfo plugin is working with the latest versions. Have you checked that the dlls are not locked by windows security (if you have your FanControl in Program Files)? To do so, right click on FanControl.HWInfo.dll, go to Properties and click on Unlock.
  3. Haha, completely missed this, thanks, everything is perfect again! And thanks again for your work, it's awesome
  4. Hi @Rem0o! I just noticed that after updating to V96 and V97, my NZXT Kraken water temp sensor and pump speed both disappeared. The app says the sensors are missing on launch. I rolled back to V95 and everything is back to normal, so I guess it comes from the updated Libre Hardware Monitor driver in V96. I checked the latest Libre Hardware Monitor release (0.8.9) and both are correctly displayed. Do you need a log file or anything for troubleshooting? The identifier is "/nzxt/krakenx3/1A/temperature/0" (and two other variants for "fan" and control)
  5. Hi @Rem0o, thanks for the frequent updates, it's amazing. When I saw the HWInfo plugin support I was thrilled, however I can't get it to work. I have HWiNFO64 v7.00-4400 with Shared Memory enabled, Fan Control is up to date (V73). In my Plugins folder I have : However, nothing changes in the main UI, no trace of new sensors. Is there something I'm missing ? Thanks! EDIT : found it! The log file mentioned this (sorry it's in french, for Rémi it should be ok I guess?) : After some research, it's a matter of unblocking the FanControl.HWInfo.dll in the Plugins folder by right clicking the file > Properties > Unblock (at the bottom, next to Security: This file came from another computer). EDIT 2 : I have also unblocked FanControl.Plugins.dll in the Plugins folder, as it seems it was also blocked, but without any effect as it's already here in the main folder (why have it twice BTW ?). There is one message remaining in the log when I launch the software : 28/03/2021 12:57:34: System.NullReferenceException: La référence d'objet n'est pas définie à une instance d'un objet. à FanControl.Domain.PluginService.<LoadPlugins>d__3.MoveNext() à FanControl.Domain.ComputerAccessLayer.Initialize(Nullable`1 disableStorage)
  6. Thanks @Rem0o for your updates. It's really filling a (crazy when you think about it, especially since everybody's using more and more elaborate cooling setups) void in fan control software after SpeedFan development stopped. It's already wonderful and the mixed curve idea is brilliant. Also the custom hysterisis request is a welcome one. Two wishes after testing the latest release : custom curve (maybe you could look at the source here for the library used, that's what I've been using for some time now but the base version of Libre Hardware Monitor used in this fork is outdated : https://github.com/SorceressEpele/LibreHardwareMonitor) taskbar temperature monitoring (it's somehow minor, but it would be great to have the possibility to monitor the numbers without running another software / instance of Hardware Monitor)
  7. Hi, I've just stumbled upon this thread in a desperate search for a SpeedFan replacement for my new Asus ROG STRIX Z390-I GAMING (Nuvoton NCT6798D). Rem0o, your take on this looks absolutely awesome, but since your software has expired, I wanted to ask if you plan a release or share the source code ? In my use case, one PWM header needs to by in sync with my GPU temps, as in yours. Thanks !
