Hello,
I am treating myself with my very 1st gaming pc(Currently have a laptop with Nvidia 860m and 3rd gen i7). I have all the parts sorted except Monitor. The games I play are - Dota 2, Football Manager, AAA games(Witcher 3, Assassin Creed Series, Far Cry...etc). For the past few years I have been playing less and less of AAA games as my hardware can't keep up with the games( I had absolute horror time playing Watch Dogs 2 and ultimately postponed to play it till I get a better rig). I was planning a USD 1150 build(including monitor). I set 280 USD for monitor(same as my graphic card RTX 2060, in my country,India I can get MSI RTX 2060 for that price ). I decided on Acer Nitro 24 inch 1080p 144Hz monitor for USD 215. The decision was made as spending more wouldn't give me a monitor that would increase my experience as RTX 2060 would struggle to push more then 144hz on 1080p(for AAA titles) and for Dota 144hz would be more then enough as I find pixel density more important then Refresh rate( I played on 120hz 1080p and 60hz 1440p rigs and i felt better on 1440p rig). I played for cumulative 10 mins and apart from that I don't have any experience on better monitors. The money I saved on my monitor was for next monitor upgrade(maybe in a year or 1.5 years as I planned to upgrade graphic card too). Suddenly we had this pandemic and everything was on lockdown and I couldn't get the parts due to availability. Now they are available but somethings have change. LG monitor are available now and at discounted price. LG Ultragear 27 inch 1080p 144hz is available at USD 180 and LG Ultragear 32 inch 32GK650F-B.AUS 1440p at USD 360(it was more then USD 500 before). Hope you still with me. My questions are
1. Should I buy LG 1080p or 1440p monitor(I can overspend my budget since it would be future proof).
2. If I go with 1440p monitor would RTX 2060 super do justice to it or should I aim for AMD 5700XT/2060 Super?
3. Is gaming experience so much better at 1440p that I should overspend on monitor and/or on graphics card(More or less extra USD 200).
4. If I am playing at 1440p should I drop from Ryzen 3600 to 2600 or even 1600 as 1440p in less taxing on CPU and save money.
I know ideally spending more gives better experience but pandemic has resulted in uncertain times. Secondly I like my rig to be more then enough for 3 years and acceptable level for a year or so but don't want to overspend.
I hope you forgive me for long post but I need you to know what my thought process behind every decision was.
