  1. Thank you! I read it and I now understand why it does that.
  2. Yeah, well I do love that since it is an upgrade. I will do more hands-on investigation well I go to its shipped location. And yes! So sorry. I created a new topic and 5 minutes later saw the "Display" Discussion. So I copied and pasted it there. I tried removing the previous one but no luck.
  3. Hey Guys, I recently got an Acer CB272u, which is a 1440p/2k monitor. I tested it on a PS5 and Gaming Laptop prior to shipping it to another location. The PS5 to my surprise, however, did not recognize the Acer Monitor as a 1440p/2k monitor, but rather a 2160p/4k monitor. It showed extremely crisp and I can definitely tell the difference from a 2k to 4k quality. I can confirm, visually, it was of a 4k monitor quality. I furthered the test by connecting a Gaming Laptop via the same HDMI port to the monitor. Again, to my surprise, the resolution showed (3840 x 2160)p/4k. Now, I am able to reduce the resolution but its default is as shown above. Can someone please explain why both devices are doing this? Can I assume that both devices are simply pushing out 4k quality although the monitor is capped at 2k? And therefore, what I am seeing is the image of a 4k signal but on a 2k monitor. 4. Bro, I finally came back into my account and saw the solutions that everyone provided. Thanks so much for the detailed explanation. I will be going your way in this matter! All the best.
  5. Hi all, I’ll try to make this short. I was a full Windows/Android consumer until Engineering University. I branched back into the Apple World through their iPad (7th Gen. / 32GB) for note-taking and video editing. I fell in love and bought the iPad Mini (5 Gen. / 256GB). Now I own an iPad Pro 2020 (WiFi + Cellular). Yes, I went in deep. My question is, what is the best way to transfer both small and large files between iPadOS and Windows? I currently use Google Drive. I access it through Chrome on Windows and the My Files app on iPadOS. I need a faster way. I don’t own an iMac or MacBook so AirDrop isn’t an option; but a similar method is welcomed. Please advise. Thank you!
  6. Hey Lord Vile, thanks for the response and advise. I'm studying my Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical and Biosystems Engineering (iMechE). So I'm currently using the iPad 7th Generation and it has been a blast. As for writing on an iPad, many people chose their side on which is better, Lol. For me, I find writing digitally keeps me organized, in addition to recording LIVE as I write. Truth is, I already have a laptop, but the portability and ease-of-access the iPad gives is something I wanted to major on for school. Those Statics, Dynamics, Engineering Calculus and Design courses have been more manageable since I got the regular iPad. So basically I'm interested in getting the most out of its higher-end ones. As for the ethernet part, my router is boss, that's mainly for Fortnite's ping at home. I have intentions of using a PS4 control and playing in areas where I cannot carry the PS4, Lol. As for the iPad Air 4, yeah! I was doing some research, but then I weighed and realized I want the 120 refresh rate over the 60 refresh rate.
  7. I am at the verge of purchasing an iPad Pro 12.9 (3rd Generation) 2018; because I know the 2020 model doesn't have many significant upgrades in addition to price. However, I had some concerns pertaining to its I/O V.S. the iPad Pro 2020. I am a University Student and purchasing for note-taking (Notability and with Apple Pencil), media consumption and occasional video editing (LumaFusion). I came across this USB-C Hub (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07M8QR83T/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_5?smid=ALKJOI57VEXOD&psc=1) and wanted to know if the iPad Pro 2018 has I/O restrictions as opposed to the iPad Pro 2020. With this hub, would I really be able to connect an ethernet, HDMI, mouse, keyboard, HDD and 3.5mm audio jack simultaneously? Would all components function in the iPad Pro 2018?
  8. Advice needed! The main router (with main internet source) is over 200 feet away from the laptop that needs internet access. My plans are to run an ethernet cable from main source to laptop location. However, I want to produce a WiFi signal near the laptop and not connect the ethernet cable directly. is there a product that I can purchase which will take in an ethernet cable and produce a WiFi signal other than an actual router? Unless that's exactly what I need.
  9. @Eigenvektor Thanks! One more question. When using dual channel, do both memory sticks have to be the same GB? (E.g.: 4GB x 2)
  10. I am currently contemplating on upgrading my memory (RAM) on my laptop. Contained within is a Samsung 4GB DDR4 2133MHz. I found a compatible Samsung part which carries the following specifications: 8GB DDR4 2666MHz. I was told that if I were to combine those two memories (the Samsung 4GB 2133MHz and 8GB 2666MHz) the laptop would still run at the lowest speed memory, the 2133MHz, and I would not get its full potential. Should I simply buy a Samsung 8GB DDR4 2133MHz memory and combine that with what I currently have (the Samsung 4GB DDR4 2133MHz)? Would this now be considered 4GB + 8GB = 12GB? Any response will be highly appreciated! I would like to purchase it tonight.
