  1. if it's a single stick it could be the ram bottlenecking. I had a single stick of 8gb ram @2133mhz, someone suggested me to upgrade it to a 3200mhz 2x8 ram and it did a massive increase of fps. The ram could be bottlenecking the cpu because the sweet spot for a ryzen cpu is 3000mhz or 3200mhz and up in terms of ram speed. Ryzen CPUs relies on your ram speed as they say. Before that, you might want to look at the manual of your board if it supports 3000+ speeds of ram. I could be wrong but I'm sure with this. I'm open to any corrections as they will be acknowledged by me. Let's wait for others' opinions as more information is always better
  2. How about your ram and its speed?
  3. We almost have the same specs. Lucky you have your budget to for a really nice upgrade. The upgrade you are going for can make a nice difference but if you can wait save up some money, go for the x570 board.
  4. Please mods, delete this thread, I'd like to start a new one because this thread is quite messy. I promise my content on the new thread is clean and arranged. Many thanks.
  5. Edit 8: I tried my monitor with my friend's GPU, still same problem with games but on the freesync windmill demo, I see less flickering on his GPU than mine. (RX 560 PULSE) Should I say that the monitor is the problem? well we use the same drivers so the last candidates as the culprit is either the monitor or the drivers despite that I used many versions of amd's drivers and still get the same result. How strange...
  6. Edit 7: I tried to use an HDMI cable again (I thought Freesync isn't supported on HDMI cables) and set it to 120hz. The flickering still occurs. Aside from flickers, I get black screen flickers too after just a minute of usage. So it's not the cable?
  7. I'm really sad and tired at this point and don't know what to do actually.
  8. I tried Pendulum to see if there is any problem, I didn't see any flickers. It only flickers when I press the stimulate options shifting from one option to another.
  9. Edit 3: setting the fps to more than 140 fps on minecraft removes the flickering, other than than, 130fps down to 10fps has some flickering. So the problem lies maybe on the "Locking the framerate thing" (?). Well Starbound is a 62 fps game so the flickering is there.
  10. Can someone help me please, I've been doing an endless research because of this. I'm really tired.
  11. I tried to use an HDMI cable and no flickering because freesync is not supported on my HDMI cable.
  12. Edit 4. I tried booting to my HDD's windows (after an ssd upgrade) I sense no flickering in starbound, or maybe I'm just not noticing it all. Then I booted to my SSD again, the flickering on starbound is gone(?) I feel like it was reduced or something. Then I fired up minecraft, flickering is still there.
  13. 50-144 is the freesync range, *I'm using a DP cable and not DVI, (I thought I was using a dvi cable.) I'm using the 19.11.1 now, but the problem is still showing. I have used 19.12.3 but no luck.
  14. Hello, please help my with my problem Before all of this, my display were doing fine. Starbound is a 62fps game on a 144hz monitor (current refresh rate is 144) and I ran it without any troubles from I remember. Now, I've been noticing brightness flickering issues when playing this game, even in minecraft. It is so frustrating.I did a couple of test like setting my monitor to 60hz and playing minecraft while freesync is on, No troublesBut when I set it to 120hz, the flickering started when I play those games. Even on 144hz.Flickering disappears when Freesync is set to OFFAside from minecraft, starbound, and, borderlands 3, other games works fine.Problem occurs inMinecraft, Starbound, Borderlands 3This happens on 19.12.1, 19.12.2, and 19.12.3 drivers. Please I hope there is nothing wrong with my GPU, as It really costed me alot of money.MONITOR: HKC M24G3F, DisplayPort Cable, Freesync Range 50-144 RYZEN 5 2600 RX 5700 XT TUF 3200 MHZ 16GB A320 PRO VH PLUS SEASONIC S12II 520W Edit: Did a benchmark and I didn't saw any flickering issues (?) the average was 90+ no vsync and only freesync. Edit 2: Downgraded to 19.11.1, Problem still persist. Edit 3: setting the fps to more than 140 fps on minecraft removes the flickering, other than than, 130fps down to 10fps has some flickering. So the problem lies maybe on the "Locking the framerate thing" (?). Well Starbound is a 62 fps game so the flickering is there. Edit 4: The flickering isn't noticable in Starbound when I booted up to my old hdd and flickering is gone when I locked my fps to 60 and as well as in 144 on borderlands 3 but flickering is still there in Minecraft. I'm really becoming depressed because of this issue. I hope it gets fixed soon. Edit 5: I fixed the flickering issue by using CRU and setting the highest freesync range from 144 to 143 STILL, I am not happy. I only think of this as an alternative solution. I wanted to know what is the main problem that this fix, fixed. In my own Idea, the reason behind this is because my monitor's refresh rate is not exactly 144hz but it's rounded off, from I remember maybe the exact value is 143.xxx where "x" is a 3 digit number that can be rounded off. > (?) Edit 6: turns it, that fix disables freesync. I'm really depressed and tired at this point for a fix. I wanted to sell my monitor na d buy a cheaper one now.
