  1. Alrighty. Some time ago I yeeted a plastic tube at my monitor (don't ask...) and well... it died. Since then I've been using a laptop with gtx 850m and i7 4700HQ. I came to a realization that there might be no point for me to buy a completely new monitor considering my needs. I don't remember exact name of the monitor I destroyed but it was an Iiyama, 1080p, 70hz, 1ms, 22 inch, TN panel. Colors were washed out. It came out as a surprise to me because the family PC has 1080p, 60hz, 22 inch and had muuuuuuuch more accurate colors (black was actually black, not grey). That was a Samsung syncmaster s22b300. TN panel aswell. A new monitor would cost me about 120+ eur (130usd+ or so) in my country. I'm currently looking at three second-hand monitors (I'll be buying only one), all of them being 20 eur (25 usd). Monitors: - LG E2242C - Philips 226V - Samsung S22C450 As far as I am informed all of them have in common 1080p, 60hz, 22 inch, TN panel, 5ms. Which one of those would you suggest me and why? Most of my time spent at PC is for browsing and work related stuff (programming) and in the evening for gaming. I've been playing games on my laptop for months now so you can imagine what type of a user I am. All I want is to have 60 fps ----- Side question. My family's PC monitor is quite old (the one I mentioned above (Samsung syncmaster s22b300)) and yet it looks like a perfect monitor for me. Colors are great, 60hz, fHD, 22inch. Standard monitor. So the question is... How can there be such a difference in colors on same panel (speaking of TN vs TN)? When I bought the Iiyama monitor I was a bit surprised colors were washed out, considering the monitor from the family's PC is most likely older (must be atleast 10 years old now). What gives? What do I not know?
