If it's just a stupid "refresh" can't they just have a 2nd refresh time to give devs more choice?

What is the TRUE reason that PC players have to wait until 6pm to play the game while console peasants can already play from midnight? I don't see any reason for WB to make PC players wait so there has to be an actual technical limitation. Does Steam not allow games to release at midnight but only at 6pm? Dead Space also came out at 4pm. Does anyone know anything about the technical side of this?

CAUSE OPTIMIZING TAKES TIME AND THEREFORE MONEY = LONGER DEVELOPMENT TIME = MORE MONEY PAID TO DEVS. managers FUCKING LOVE DLSS cause it means they cut a big chunk of dev time off. business is hard

I really miss the good old days. Back then I had no idea what GPU I had but every single game I ever played ran on maximum settings. Now you buy a new PC and the first AAA game that comes out next runs like garbage because game devs don't optimize so they can push the release date earlier. I expect to run a game at maximum settings with a 3080 on 1440p. The game doesn't even look that good and often times it is just blurry. Either way I cancelled my pre-order and spent it on Dead Space instead where I get 100 FPS.

The only people that can stand up to Google is the EU. If America knows what's good for them they would invite the European Court of Justice and give them jurisdiction over Google.

I just listened to the Hogwarts Legacy 4K ASMR video and now I really want to play it and will take a week off for it but is my equipment good enough for the game? I have Sennheiser HD 650 and the CREATIVE G6 7.1 HD Gaming DAC. Will I be able to have proper surround sound in the game? I know there is some kind of spatial setting in Windows. Do I need to enable it? Is there anything else I can do to improve my sound quality in Hogwarts Legacy?

I am eagerly waiting for the OLED monitors but sadly they are not coming out at the same time. From what I see there is a lot of info already. Based on what we already know, does anyone here know which of them currently will be the best? The first one to come out is the LG one in a few days so if you guys think that LG will be the top choice I will just go for it without waiting for the others but if you think that one of the others will be better I guess I'll wait.

I literally said a few months ago that PC gaming is dying and that in the future everyone will play on mobile phones but the dumb fucks linked me the rising Steam sales because they did not understand that has zero correlation. The fact is that kids today simply do not play PC and if kids don't play PC then nobody will. Companies are not going to be producing games for a bunch of 50 year olds that couldn't get laid all their life. The reason why PC gamers got a PC in the first place was because when PCs came out everyone was buying them, they were just new and also very useful. People installed games on them and PC gaming was born. Nobody went to the store to buy a PC just because of games. But today people do not have any reason to buy a PC. Kids do their homework either at school or they get a cheap laptop that cannot run games. If the parents can afford it they'll buy the kid a console and if not the kid will play Fortnite or Genshin Impact on the phone but most kids these days don't play any games because of social media. Being a degenerate back in the day was fine. Nobody at school knew what you did at home so you could play WoW all day and not have to feel bad. Today you are frequently messaged at home and you are required to post and report everything that you do. If you play games instead of watching Tik Tok videos people will think you are weird so a lot of people, especially girls, are put off video games. Back in the day you could barely play an online game for 5 minutes without running into a chick but today literally no girls play unless they are degenerates themselves while back in the day you could meet loads of non degen girls who literally had nothing to do with video games but they just played for the fun of it. But since social media put pressure on kids to pretend they are cool they are gone. Without kids there will be no PC gaming no matter how boomerish you guys wanna be. The only way to save PC gaming is what I have posted trillion times now. Ban social media for anyone under 16. Online games will be blooded with new players because kids will no longer spent 90% of their free time scrolling through social media feeds telling them to kill themselves on video for likes. And the US and EU have to come together and fine Jensen for several billions for making PCs unaffordable for a large part of the population + give him a short deadline to release an extremely affordable GPU that is freely available at cost to all PC builder companies to start selling a PC that can run basic games for £500. If you want to save PC gaming do this. Or you can pretend you know better but then I suggest you start downloading Roblox and Genshin Impact on your phones already guys.

Amazon has recently started to crack down hard on their flawed processes to start making some actual money. Amazon's idea was to enter the market and make losses at every step of the way to build market share. For them to make money from Prime you literally need to order an absurd amount of stuff with a good profit margin which barely anyone does + the royalties they need to pay for Prime Video. They have been also sending out threatening letters to anyone who returns too many items in a short period of time and if you keep doing it they just shut your account down. They also never check the returns you send them, which is why the graphics card thing happened in the first place. They also don't check the orders they get from their vendors. They essentially do nothing except ship out boxes and accept them and even that they want robots to do who won't be able to open boxes. If it wasn't for AWS financing Amazon it would have already gone bankrupt. I doubt Amazon will be around in the first 10 years. All these monopoly money companies based on nothing more than empty promises to investors will shut down overnight with a Netflix movie coming out about them a couple of years later. Which Google product has come out in the last few years that completely impressed everyone? Yeah.

At the very least companies need to change batteries at the customer's request at cost without a penny of mark-up since they are going to argue that the phones won't be waterproof anymore.

Phones are not turned on 24/7 with the same image... a smartphone screen is maybe turned on a tatal of.. 1 or 2 hours a day? Max if you're a heavy user while PC monitors are turned on literally all day if you are one of the people who don't their PC off. I've been using my monitor since 2015 and it is still working completely fine. I cannot imagine buying a monitor that with a shelf life.

Mine also worked fine... years ago. But now when I connect it nothing seems to happen. I wonder if there is a setting on my Samsung TV which is stopping it from showing the signal from the PS4... it's so stupid that on older TVs it is fine. My LG which is also 4K but without HDR has no issues just starting it normally. It's also a Smart TV. Why can't they just make it simple?

Looking forward to playing at 60 fps again and now that moore's law is dead we won't play at fast hz anymore.

I tried to connect my PS4 to my Samsung QLED TV but it simply was not working. I actually thought that my PS4 was just defective since there was no visual signal. It did boot into safe mode but not normal boot. I even reinstalled the OS on the PS4 but nothing worked. I tried various cables. Then I connected it to my old LG 4K TV and it worked. Connecting it to my PC monitor also worked but the Samsung TV simply didn't work. The only difference is that the Samsung TV has HDR but I cannot imagine this making a difference. What's going on?
