  1. Im looking for upgrades and cyber monday is here, now i dont want to upgrade my gpu, and i already have a good ssd, now im thinking of buying 4tb wd blue, but what do you think are the thingS to look to upgrade?
  2. I have galaxy s10 5g sm-g977N which is Korean, with some korean "features", but im a usa user and dont know any korean, so its more like nuisance. The usa model code are sm-g977U/T (verizon/T-mobile). Is it possible to flash it? Or will it destroy something? Because its a different model code.
  3. Ive got a weird problem (not really a problem), i have an rx 580 8gb and for some reason i just cant overclock it over 1440 Mhz, and Im only able to do it on Raden adrenalin software, because when i try to do it on msi afterburner the computer freezes if i try to overclock it from 1411 Mhz (base) to 1412Mhz...... which is like meh? you think its just the silicon lottery?
  4. thx a lot, ill wait then. should be on september or october?
  5. ah i see, thx. you think the architecture is something that will be improving more than say more cuda cores or more streams?
  6. so you say i should buy the 3000/ big navi cards? wont they be really expensive for what i need? i dont need the absolute top end
  7. hmmm, you're right, itll drop in prices.. but dont they release cards on april (next year)? but i dont know if getting the higher end cards (like 2060 or 2070) will do better than like 1080 super or 5600 xt if i dont use the streaming nor rtx
  8. I want to upgrade my rx 580 8gb for a better 1440p card, to play shadow of the tomb raider and borderlands 3 on high res. if i dont care about rtx, is there really a reason to buy the 20s? or if i buy like a 1080 or a 1660 its better than 2060 or 2070 (all variants) and should i go for rx 5600/5700 xt? cause i dont really care about streaming on it
  9. for starters, thx a lot, ill check the pwm control. second thing: it just shuts it down, no warning, no nothing
  10. so what do you suggest? and can you give me instructions on that?
  11. hi, im using a ryzen 2700x with stock fan (with the pre-applied thermal paste) with no overclocking, crucial balistix sports lt ddr4 3200Mhz (overclocked to 3400, i think cl 18), asrock b450m pro4 and sabrent rocket nvme ssd 512 gigs. sometimes (couldn't figure out a pattern) when i startup my cpu the fan suddenly starts running at 100% (sometimes until i get to the desktop, and sometimes it pulses from normal speed to 100% every 2-ish seconds). another weird thing that's happening is that twice already when i unplugged the Ethernet cable the computer just shut down... again, i cant think of a reason or find a clue for a pattern can you help me with that?
  12. that aoc monitor has 250 cd/cm, it doesnt really matter right?
  13. im from Israel, and thx for the tip, is there any other spec i need to look out for? like that big 1000:1 or some thing like that? and the 350 cd/cm?
  14. its not out in my country yet, do you have another monitor that can work for me? i have rx 580 8gb so i dont think i need 1440p gaming, and i do like at least 144hz, and i prefer 24''... The problem im facing is that there are so many specs to think about, that i dont know what is really important, cause i see 2 monitors with the same specs and a difference of 30$ from each other, and i cant see why, so im kinda scared to buy something overpriced when i can get the same or even better for less and skip things i dont need
  15. AOC C24G1 24'' VA with FreeSync (i have amd gpu) Asus VG248QZ 24'' TN with no FreeSync BenQ XL2411P 24'' TN with no FreeSync Dell S2419HGF 24'' TN with FreeSync is there another thing to think about?
  16. mobo bios? pretty sure yes, but if you can tell me how to check for sure. i do have xmp enabled i use radeon software to overclock it, the problem i have with msi afterburner is that it only changes the clock speed of the last state on the gpu, i changed all the states... msi afterburner only changes state7, which makes the computer rather unstable even on easy overclocking, even below 1366 which is the rated overclock from amd for some reason. ive found something REALLY weird just now, when i went to msi afterburner settings, i filled in the "profiles" tab the key F5 to apply a profile, and every time i pressed this in game to do something, it crashed... so i cancelled the F5 in msi afterburner, and it doesnt crash anymore.... EHHHH?????
  17. Hey, My Hardware is: cpu: ryzen 7 2700x gpu: Sapphire nitro + rx 580 8gb mobo: asrock b450m pro4 psu: thermaltake smart bx1 550w i am playing dota 2 for 4 years now on a dell inspiron 15 5547. 2 months ago i decided to build my own rig (the above) and one of the reasons were that on my dell the graphics werent that good, and i couldnt play other heavier games. i did some overclocking to the gpu to 1440 Mhz core and 2150Mhz vram, tested it through 3d mark time spy stress test for 45 minutes, heaven benchmark for 40 min on ultra settings, borderlands 3 gameplay for about an hour on high settings and superposition benchmark for 20 min, all of them on 1080p and worked perfectly except borderlands 3 which crashed after about an hour and said that the ram was full or something like that, it told me to try again with lower settings but otherwise it didnt crash and went smoothly the whole time. When i start dota on highest settings (which doesnt really matter cause it should be an easy game for the gpu) the driver crash after random amounts of time, sometimes after 5 min of gameplay, sometimes it last through the whole game, and sometimes when there is a team fight and many visual affects take place the driver crash, the screen goes black and the gpu restarts itself and i have to kill dota with task manager because otherwise i cant use my pc. i tried to use stock speed: 1257 Mhz core and 2000 Mhz ram but the same thing happens, even when i lower the settings. i say again, when i overclock the gpu all the benchmarks and borderlands 3 work (except of the problem, but i dont think its the same problem) but it crashes randomly on dota. i have no idea what to do anymore, i uninstalled the drivers with amd cleanup software and reinstalled the latest drivers, same. uninstalled and reinstalled dota, same thing... i did some research and i saw that many people say they have the same problem. do you have a suggestion? p.s: do you know a real time monitoring software other than msi afterburner that displays like msi afterburner real time?
  18. are you sure? the native settings were 1411Mhz gpu and 2150 Vram and the fan was 0 rpm with 30c, i have sapphire nitro + rx 580 8gb
  19. I have a (used) sapphire rx 580 8gb which clocks at 1411Mhz, i downloaded msi afterburner to overclock it, and took it up to 1500Mhz but it doesnt go above 1411Mhz even when sliding the other things to max... can you tell me why it does this? or how can i overclock it?
  20. So can i safely say that its a ram prob? Cause no matter what i do i cant get it to 3200: tried to up the voltage to 1.4, nah, tried to set the soc voltage to 1.1 (and even 1.2), doesnt even post, tried to loose on the timings (20 20 20 20 38), it starts but as soon as i type in my passward and move the mouse a bit, either crashes, or bsod I have Asrock b450m pro4 mobo and ryzen 2700x cpu. Now im running at 3000 and 13 15, 15, 15, 36 Which is good, but i feel like ive been deceived
  21. but i dont really understand what makes it not work if the manufacturers tried it and said it works fine, if you can try to explain ill be glad
  22. ah ok i see, when i use the xmp and save, i cant get into bios, i have to clear the cmos to start again. i will try to keypunch. as for the timings i currently have, i didnt do much tweeking but maybe i can take it lower still though if you say i should try to go 3200, i will try to do it thx a lot
  23. im not really sure what keypunch is but the computer doesnt accept input or provides any output (altho the num lock does light up, so its probably just unstable). everything works fine with 3000Mhz (as i said, im currently using this settings). there is no reason to go above 1.4, but maybe if i can get to like 1.41 the ram will be stable. also, should i go 3200Mhz and up my CL? or is it better to go 3000 15 (didnt try less) CL than 3200 17< CL? from my calculations (which are really simply, so probably not taking into account the dependence of ryzen cpu of fast ram) its better to go 3000 with 15 CL than 3200 with 17, so should i really try? or wait for a bios update that hopefully help?
  24. hey i have a ryzen 2700x cpu with asrock b450m pro4 mobo and patriot viper steel 3200Mhz 2x8 kit (put in the second and the forth dimm slots). when i loaded the xmp settings (3200Mhz 1.35V 16-18-18-36) and restarted the monitor didnt show any output for the first 3 restarts (without cmos clear), after that i cleard the bios and tried to use 3000Mhz 1.35V 15-18-18-36 it works perfectly (in fact that is what im using right now). i tried to use 1.4V instead and it crashed in the Asrock logo screen (no input or anything, have to clear cmos and restart)... p.s: there is something weird about the mobo, or tell me if its ok: Asrock doesnt let me go higher than 1.4 and also, it jumps in 0.5 so its either 1.2-1.25-1.3-1.35-1.4V, if you can help me change this as well ill be glad Thx for any help
