  1. well considering my laptop cost me $1499 aud... id say thats resonable but anything over 2.5k...
  2. Was about to edit post about upgrading haha. Not only that im trying to understand why youd spend so much for portable gaming?. Because ok if youre watiing for a flight understandable, going to lan party, just makes it easier to move around...
  3. So currently been binge watching pc stuff on youtube and came across a few videos by Linus which are more related to high end and high price gaming laptops. but is it really worth it? Im currently using an Acer Aspire VX15 i7-7700HQ 16gb ddr4 1050ti 4gb ssd etc.... for me it works fine as I dont play anything extremely heavy but is a $3000+ , in realistic terms... worth buying... (Note I am in Aus...)
  4. If I was to get the Antec HCG 750W, would it be worth to get that, then wait till I have enough for a new case?
  5. Unfortunately the RM Series are just as bad as the RMX... nearly 180AUD for a 650W, the place I'm looking at has an Antec HCG 750w for 170 AUD, is it worth spending the each $40 for the power supply compared to say an Aerocool 700W gold??
  6. cheers I think ill stay away from the RMX series though, just a tad out my price range haha
  7. are the thermaltake smart power 650W 80+ bronze PSUs any good??
  8. I am looking to upgrade my power supply for my current PC, as I had upgraded to a HD7950 (I know its an Old card but it still runs like a beast). at the moment I have a 500W thermal take lite power in which I have a whole bunch of molex to 6pin connectors coming off it, although it does the Job Id hate to see the system catch fire or something along those lines... Im also getting a new case, Aerocool XPredator X1 mid tower. I have a budget of $120 AUD MAX core pc specs: i7-2600 HD7950 8GB RAM Regards, ShiftY Note: if the parts can be sourced in Victoria at the same store/site it would be extremely helpful
  9. To be completely honest, I just really dont have the money to purchase one, plus my amazing HD 5470 in my like 5 year old laptop just died so I cant really game on it anymore GL to everyone else
  10. are you going to be doing more than just gaming?
  11. Would I have to do a clean reset of windows 7 as well?
  12. Soooo, my GT530 recently decided to burn out, so I was left with no choice but to get the pc fixed. I managed to find a GTX 960 (gigabyte) that suit the PC completely fine!, but after installing the card, the pc would boot fine just nothing will come up on the display. after some fiddling and seeing if other things would work, using different GPUs to see if something would come up on the screen but nothing did . I looked onto the HP Forums and they all said to disable UEFI or something which I did and still no result. After contacting HP they suggested that something was wrong with the BIOS, so as anyone would. I updated it but still no result. after consulting with HP and after 2 weeks of having a PC that is essentially completely useless they mentioned that since it is an 'old' pc (coming up 3 years old) they do not support the model anymore therefore I have been restricted to using a mixture of GPUs, the only card that actually seemed like it was worth getting was the HD 6990. but being a 4 year old Card is it really worth 'upgrading'? or should I wait to buy a new PC altogether? 13. I was looking at a similar gpu superclocked ++ or something on pccasegear as for the case, I do like it but 350d doesn't seem like a bad option either except that it costs twice as much haha....
  14. I know anything is better than a gt530 had to put upwith everything running between 800x600p to 1366x768p on an 1080p monitor
