I would've but for some reason the wifi in the kitchen is horrendous (there is something blocking the signal in the kitchen, getting like 1-2 bars and the router is like 5 meters away) so my parents and brother use 2.4GHz. If i was in my old house then yeah, we would've used 5GHz

Only 1 store has the mesh version but it's 70 euros and a bit out of my budget. Plus as i can see from the price history, legit a month ago that case was 49 euros😐

I'll have a look at it for sure, i ain't done with the reviews yet lol

Better than some SSD brands that deliver same product code... for different PCBs and SSD spec.

AleksiDj73 got a reaction from dogwitch in Which micro SD card to get for my Samsung phone
Hello everyone, i will get straight into what i wanna say. I currently own a Samsung Galaxy A71 and i'm running very low on storage and i have a SanDisk Evo Plus 32GB which i've had for close to 3 years and that's almost full as well leaving me with around 1GB total storage and i wanna get a 256GB SD Card and somewhat futureproof myself in the future if the phone i get has an SD card slot.

My 2 options are the Samsung PRO Plus 256GB (2023) (not to be confused with the 2021 version) and SanDisk Extreme PRO 256GB and the price for me here is only 1.5 euros difference so not much and i wanted some help to see which one is best. Yes i know the SanDisk got 20MB faster read speeds and 10MB faster write speeds than Samsung but it's not like i'm gonna be recording 4K video everyday so i don't really care about speeds and i want some personal experience with people that used Samsung/SanDisk SD cards.

    Thank you!

Um the OS is stored in your storage drive and you don't need to do anything to the OS. Once you swap motherboards, you're ready to go

AleksiDj73 got a reaction from Alex Atkin UK in On which devices should i use 5GHz WiFi?
Thanks for the reply. Don't be so certain that devices will automatically connected to the reliable WiFi because most devices are dumb when it comes to this and they connect to whatever they want to and it's basically 50/50.

Of course i got option to separate or combine both 2.4 and 5GHz, i thought of that from the start but i don't want things to get clattered and i want to have a control on the devices. Like if i count all of my devices that connect to the WiFi daily here are these, my main phone, spare phone, my brother's phone, my mom, dad, my laptop, 2 ACs, 1 printer and my brother's tablet has WiFi (joins occasionally). Sometimes when there are guests, it's +2 most of the times or even +4 if we got a big night. That is a total of 10 devices and with the guests are 12-14. Like 10-14 devices joining simultaneously ain't little and it can cause a huge mess if the router cannot keep up.

I mean look, i will see for a couple of weeks how it will be with those 2 bands and if i don't see any improvement, i will just straight up combine both and connect everything in one network

AleksiDj73 reacted to Alex Atkin UK in On which devices should i use 5GHz WiFi?
The point is, devices are not intelligent about how they choose which band to connect to.

Unless you have a Mesh setup, if you move out of range of 5Ghz and drop onto 2.4Ghz, the device will stay there forever until you manually force it back.  While splitting the bands doesn't avoid this, by having 5Ghz as the default/automatic and 2.4Ghz manually, it will at least not happen if you go slightly out of range then back in again.  I guess if a seamless connection is important to you, this might seem a negative though.

There are also cases where it might put you on 2.4Ghz because 5Ghz is a weak signal, but the speed would still actually be faster on 5Ghz.  Or you might want to keep some devices on 2.4Ghz to save 5Ghz for high-bandwidth devices only, as the more devices you have on an SSID, the higher the chance of performance issues.

Basically, combined bands are easier to use, but doing it manually with split bands often gets you the best performance.

Wait till you find out they all use different algorithms too so 2 bars on one phone can be a better signal than 3 on another

I would rather you wait for the GPU shortage to be somewhat over because you will be spending 1000 euros more for a GPU that it's MSRP is around $1500ish (1300 euros) but hey if you want that PC built and ready within a few weeks, then i cannot hold you back, go for it if you need it now otherwise if i were you, i would NOT be spending 2.7k euros for a GPU. You could literally get a car with that money lol

Gotcha gotcha. And yeah it's hard to know at what % is when it reaches the 4th light but honestly i think i should do this, when it reaches the 4th light and it's blinking, i will leave it like 10-20 minutes more to charge then unplug it because if i unplug it when the 4th light starts blinking, then the power bank will be at 70% capacity or so so yeah. Thanks for your help though!

Does heat dissipation help with metal flash drives or it's technically the same with plastic ones?

To help you better, i am in the market of buying a flash drive and specifically the SanDisk Dual Drive 256GB and there are 2 versions of it, one metal and one plastic and i was wondering if it made any difference mostly to heat

The metal one : SanDisk Ultra® Dual Thumb Drive Luxe USB Type-C™ Flash Drives | Western Digital | Western Digital

Yeahh. Supposedly from what i heard was that Android 12 may add a setting to stop charging at whatever % you put it so hopefully that is true cuz my phone will get Android 12. I hope that setting exists because that will be 1 less app running in the background. I mean, the setting to stop charging is software based so it's shouldn't be that hard to implement, i think, right?. We'll see though
