That's not at all how vsync works.

I already have a system just need to upgrade cpu, mobo, and gpu man. Chill with all this stuff about getting case, psu, keyboard, and mouse. Though I will have to get a new keyboard once I upgrade mobo because my current one uses a ps2 connection

It wouldnt be jumping from 100 to 30 because I'm not going for 100fps I'm going for stable 60 with vsync on seeing as my tv which is my monitor is only 60 hz. Even though the box said it was 144 hz. Emphasis on anger about it only being 60hz

And as for the types of games. I intend to play some what newer games. My current steam library is mostly f2p games and games I bought that released in 2012 and 2013. But I intend to pair it with a 1080p gpu like a 570 or 580, possibly a 5500 when they release. I do have a preference for open world action adventure games as well as action rpgs. Would that still incite an r5 recommendation?

About to upgrade my gaming computer from my first gen core i5 dual core 650 to a ryzen based platform. But what I want to know is should I really shell out the extra cash for the six core r5 2600 or will I be fine grabbing the r3 2200g. Will there be any real use for the two extra cores of the ryzen 5 in gaming or is it like just a to have it kind of thing?

Since I haven't really given my games I figure this will make people use games I actually play for their examples lol

With lows in the mid 30s which is not terrible for it. Lol about the same as my experience would be playing it on ps4

I meant the rx5500s that will be launching soon as the new mid tier amd cards to replace the 570, 580, and 590 for 1080p gaming lol

Lmao I'm fine I mostly play games from 2016 and before on pc. I get newer AAAs on ps4 just because as of right now that is my only thing that will run them

Well then I have little to worry about. I dont play battlefield lol. I play very little of EAs library because of morals, but I will keep my eye out for the 2600 discounted. I'm hoping to hold out till the rx 5500 and 5500 xt launches because I want the navi performance 

Then I should be fine lol I love how everyone really pushes to go for the 100fps area. I'm just trying to get 60 in games I'm getting 30 and lower in lmao

Honestly this was the most reasonable sounding response to this post. Thank you very much. The reason I was intending to get the 2200g was tto save money now so I can upgrade to a r5 at some point in the future when my gaming needs really make it a necessity. And I think even just getting the 2200g and a newer graphics card will drastically change my performance in games. Seeing as I'm running the cpu I mentioned previously and a gtx 660 oc'd to the limit and somehow it's getting double the performance that it would at stock speeds
