  1. I believe it's only the lowest tier model that has eMMC memory. The other 2 have NVMe storage
  2. Summary Steam just put their Steam Deck on the front page of their app. It shows the design in details and features. There are 3 price tiers: - For 420€ you get the Steam Deck itself along with a carrying case and 64GB of eMMC storage. - For 550€ you get a bigger and faster storage 256GB NVMe SSD, an exclusive steam community profile bundle and the carrying case. - For 680€ you get a 512GB NVMe SSD, an anti-glare etched glass, an "exclusive" carrying case which has yet to be revealed, the same steam community profile bundle and an exclusive virtual keyboard theme. It doesn't look like the APU changes with the tiers so raw performance should be similar on all three models, the impact of the different storage solutions has yet to be evaluated. As for the games, your entire steam library will be available to play as long as it supports controller input. Speaking of controllers, let's just hope it doesn't drift this time... There will be a dock available that props up the device and adds additional inputs like a headphone jack, HDMI and DP ports, 1 USB 3.1 and 2 USB 2.0 ports. Orders can already be made for a small 4€ fee and are expected to be shipped starting december 2021 to january 2022. The specific dates are unclear still. Quotes My thoughts Personally I'm not a fan of the front design, although it looks very comfortable compared to the switch, the size bezels is distracting in my opinion. From the back we can see an intake shroud and 4 extra buttons labeled R4, R5, L4 and L5 meant to be pressed with your pinky and ring fingers. I've always like controllers with extra buttons like these so it's nice seeing them implemented in this product. For storage I think the sweet spot for me will be the mid option for 550€ with 256GB as 64GB just seems small, a base model with 128GB of storage for the same price wouldn't have been unreasonable imo. You also can't see any sort of stand built into the Deck so it's a bit disappointing but I'm sure we'll quickly see third party options better than anything Valve could've come up with as we're used to with the DIY market. Can't wait to play Celeste on it. x) In conclusion, it's a device I can't wait to test even if I think the price is a bit high. The display bezels are disappointing imo but I have yet to see it in person so maybe my opinion will change then. Sources https://store.steampowered.com/steamdeck
  3. In France our schools make us buy the Numworks calculator. It's really good, it has an OS and you even program in python. I think this would make a great video for Anthony on short circuit. Numworks: https://www.numworks.com/
  4. I've seen a bunch of LTT videos getting sponsored by ting. It always made me think about how crazy expensive mobile data is in Canada!! I used to live in Quebec for about 4 years and my parents used to pay something like $35 for 2GB of data back in 2015. When we moved to France I was blown away by how cheap data was. Currently I pay 16€ For 100GB of data, unlimited text and calls plus I even had 3 months of Spotify premium at the beginning. Unless there's something I missed in the numbers from Canada, it really sounds like a rip-off, almost a scam... How is this not illegal?? So anyway I was just thinking it could be a good subject to cover in a video or Wan Show or something Here are a few examples, I personally use the Bouygues Telecom one: -https://www.bouyguestelecom.fr/forfaits-mobiles/sans-engagement?gclid=CjwKCAjw_qb3BRAVEiwAvwq6Vk13NJJw_yATPVGlBL4Onfh29eEcUJ8QDNpusoolxLjg96BgyPrLNBoCqnoQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds -http://mobile.free.fr/ -https://www.red-by-sfr.fr/forfaits-mobiles/ https://discordapp.com/channels/375436620578684930/375436621450969089/722781342332485664 (discord link to these images)

  7. A lot of you answered that it doesn't add any benefit. I know, it's just for looks. I like this look. Also cutting the corners changes almost nothing to the screen real estate (same for FOV). @Glenwing Anyway I seem to be the only one to like this look x) @Ringthane I'm not talking about every device on the market, obviously that would be sooo complicated. But for companies like apple who make their own software AND hardware don't you think it would be easier to make a change like that?
  8. Hey everyone, I've seen this concept a few times lately, I already thought of something like this myself and now I'm seing it pop around the net. Tell me what you guys think about rounded corners on PC screens. It's everywhere on smartphones nowadays and as a big fan of this trend I would like to see it on PCs aswell. Personally I think it looks gorgeous!! I know it would be complicated for compatability between apps and all but it's still really cool. So. What do you think? Weirdly enough I only found apple related concepts. I'm working on my own concept tho (I know the first one is an Ipad, just try to think of it as a monitor plugged into a windows pc or smth)
