I'm looking for something that runs well and doesn't take up much room. FreeNAS is something I have also been suggested a few times. I may look more into it as an option if I don't end up caving and buying a mid-range Synology NAS. I still have my old PC parts so I could probably buy a cheap power supply and some more storage and use that... I would just need to find the room

Thanks for the reply man. I will look into it. I haven't really made up my mind on what I am going to do yet. The server is mainly to backup some of my files and also to use it for Plex (Movies and Shows, 4K etc.) I may end up caving and just get a mid-range NAS from Synology or something along those lines I do have my old PC parts that would be fine to use if I end up going the freeNAS route.

Been wanting a NAS for the longest time but everytime I look at reviews for some of the cheapish ones, I get many mixed reviews. I have been recommended the Synology brand for a while now and even though I would love to get one, they are too pricey for my liking. I have seen the Western Digital My Home ones are around my price range but the only problem being I have seen many mixed reviews saying they can be often slow and the interface can be annoying to deal with. Could anybody recommend a good NAS that isn't too pricey but also runs well? I am willing to up my budget a little more if the price isn't too high. Thanks!

Well then, that is quite surprising... I remember changing my DNS settings on my Router login a long time ago when I saw the video Linus made on cloudflare. Turns out they changed back to default ones Virgin Media provides. So quoting my previous comment... "ISP's are assholes" EDIT: Thanks my dude. I should have checked in the first place. GG to my brain!

I have had NordVPN for a over a year now and I have never really had any problems with it, but one problem I have always had is my ISP blocks every VPN website I try to access. So the only way I can use the website is when my VPN is enabled. I wouldn't have had a problem with this as I know ISP's can be a**holes but last week I had an issue with my VPN not working and since I couldn't connect to a server, I couldn't contact support. Is there anything you guys would recommend? The only thing I could think of is using TOR but I have never really liked using that for a lot of different reasons. Cheers

My idiot ass put my new monitor instead of my second monitor. My second is the benq xl2411 not benq xl2411p... so that's my stupid fault. So for the benq xl2411 I would need a DVI to Display Port adapter that would give me 120/144hz at the native resolution. I can make custom resolutions and get 120hz but since they are not HD res, they don't look good. And even though it is my second monitor, I often use it to watch Movies/Shows whilst gaming so I would prefer the res to be a HD one. But like I stated, the last time I checked people said the adapters wouldn't work (at least on the reviews/forums I checked at the time)

After upgrading around 2 years ago, I realised that I wouldn't be able to use the 144hz on my BenQ ZOWIE XL2411 with my RTX 2070 SUPER. So I eventually bought a new monitor which has display port so I could use 144hz. Since that time, I have been using my XL2411 as a second monitor but with it being 60hz. The only way I can get a higher rate (120hz) is if I use 1440x900 resolution. But the last time I checked, a lot of comments online said they tried using adapters and they just didn't seem to work. My question is, is there an adapter out there which will allow me to get my XL2411 to 120hz/144hz at 1920x1080? I'm assuming since the last time I checked there must be one out there that can achieve this. If you know of any that would most likely work, please feel free to let me know. Thanks!

Been having weird BSOD errors for quite a while now. The only time my PC wouldn't blue screen is when I was playing games (Usually does it when browsing or just leaving PC idle whilst watching/streaming videos). As of late I found a program what identifies BSOD errors (Bluescreen Viewer) and it came up with a ntoskm.exe error - After googling how to fix it, most websites mentioned it could be a memory problem. I decided to run a Windows Diagnostic and it came back clean. So last night, I ran the memtest86 program (With both sticks of Ram left in their slots). I left it running for the default 4 tests it does and it give me one big green Pass result with 0 errors. I have no clue what else to try other than factory resetting windows (was told on websites it can fix the problem) but I really don't want to do that. Any help would be great :)

Loaded up PC last night and when I tried to connect my Echo Dot to my PC, it wouldn't. So I checked my Bluetooth drivers and the Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth driver was not running. So far I have updated it, uninstalled and reinstalled it, enabled and disabled it, ran the windows troubleshooter (it tried re-installing it and it was the same result), and I have even restarted the Bluetooth support service in the Services app and still no luck. Any help would be appreciated!

Was just watching some reviews and the EVGA RTX 2070 BLACK comes with an DVI port and it actually performs pretty well. Also, according to a benchmark compare site, the MSI RTX 2070 SUPER is still better but only by an 11% factor.
