  1. Before I describe the Issue, here are my specs. Ryzen 7 2700x Asus TUF X570 pro wifi corsair vengance lpx ddr4 3200mhz 8*2GB RAM (Samsung B-die, ver 4.32) CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 Corsair cx750m Vega 64 (all drivers and bios are up-to-date) Okay so the issue persists when I import my XMP profile into Ryzen DRAM calculator I try to see if I can tighten my timings using the rated speed and I implement all settings and posting fails all the time. I have tried many things such as, lower frequency with tighter timings and vice versa, tried only using primary timings with bumped voltages (doing this has a weird result in which I have to reset CMOS to get a boot again instead of waiting for the system to get out of the boot loop). I have tried nearly everything I can by using research and I can't seem to find anything that works as my RAM is quite rare to work with as it's a Samsung B-die and you need to be extremely lucky to get your hands on them. Fortunately the previous RAM sticks were faulty so I got an RMA from corsair and it turns out the current ones im using are Samsung b-die, they're brand new so there is no way that the RAM is faulty. CPU works perfectly fine on an x570 chip set and XMP profile is able to boot however issues persist when playing games. I get terrible micro-stuttering and my game overall doesn't feel smooth at all. I disable XMP and it's smooth as ever, but my FPS drops dramatically. I'm so lost and I really need some advice and help with this. I have not tried to go beyond 1.4V on memory so maybe I should try that, there's a bunch things I can try but I don't want to ruin my system totally, so again I would really like some input on people who are experienced with this sort of thing on what I should do?
  2. I have a gigabyte Vega 64 OC Edition. I haven’t overclocked it, but I change the thermal paste on it with thermal grizzly kryonaught as the card temps get really really hot. At 1080p I get a constant 180+ average FPS at high settings. And the fans are turned up as well so my average temp is 45-55 C. In my opinion it’s an amazing damn card, depending on which brand you buy it from. I got lucky and my card turned out to be way better than advertised. But i also did some modifications to the card that only cost me an additional $15. If you’re comfortable with changing either the thermal solution with a better one or changing the stock cooler, then that additional $15 shouldn’t matter to you. I even got my Vega 64 brand new for $275 on eBay since it was bid. But definitely worth the money.
  3. Of course not. I fixed the issue and my Vega 64 can run Modern Warfare all high settings @160-200 FPS on 1080p res. Before my textures weren’t rendered on 1080p and when I tried 4K I would literally crash, but I have fixed that issue as well.
  4. I’m Yup that has likely been the issue, thanks so much man!!!! You’re a blessing! I’ve been doing lots of benchmarks and not single freeze! But however I feel like my Vega 64 underperforms a little because it says it can run 4K pretty good, but when I’m running 4K on modern warfare, textures in the game are not generated and rendered. But the benchmark says that my GPU performs at or above expectations. It gets very weird.. the coil whine can’t really be heard anymore, although it’s very very faint, even at 4K. But 1920x1080 works fine, it’s just anything higher than that resolution, gets wonky. Any suggestions? I’m well opened to it. EDIT: I have only used the old PSU w/ the Vega 64 for only a week before swapping it out w/ a new one.

  6. Ah, well I replaced the psu and the problem is gone... I’m still hearing that weird noises coming from the computer though. But still, I’m not experiencing any type of crashes or freezes anymore.
  7. I’m in the U.S. I just stopped at Best Buy and picked up a Corsair CX750M modular psu 80 plus bronze. Is that good enough? Otherwise I can return it, but this is all that Best Buy has to offer.
  8. So, games used to run super smoothly on my Vega 64, and modern warfare would run at 100+ FPS. But after downloading some drivers and updating my bios because windows loaded pretty slow. After doing all of this, Windows loaded in a lot faster than before. But for some reason it had a drawback and I couldn’t figure out why playing modern warfare the game couldn’t render anything as it used to anymore. So I immediately reverted my bios and reinstalled windows. My games got corrupted so I instead tried to benchmark and I got some very weird results. The first couple of time of benchmarking it worked, giving me an outstanding rating for my GPU and CPU saying the CPU ran more than expected and my GPU ran as expected, but my RAM and SSD were underperforming. So I dropped from 32 GB to 16 GB RAM. I also ordered a new drive, which is an SSHD 2TB. So I thought everything would be fine until I wanted to test again to see if my benchmark score can improve... “spoiler” it did not improve at all... I ran the benchmark, cpu did good at testing and when it got to the part where the GPU was being tested I heard a weird noise coming from my computer(still can’t figure out where the noise is coming from) it was almost like a long click noise, it clicked once or twice, for the duration of each benchmark screen, then my windows freezes and the benchmark stops continuing. I also noticed that the fans don’t spin on the GPU while going through the benchmark, keep in mind that those fans used to spin when it was working. I have to end up hard restarting it completely. I’ve heard it’s called coil whining, but it’s not that loud at all. It’s just a low pitch noise and bam the benchmark immediately stops and then windows freezes. All my antivirus and firewall is off as well. I have literally tried everything except replacing the parts. I don’t know if it’s the GPU at all because it’s brand new and was working fine before. But anyway, I stripped my computer down to its core and rebuilt it back up and still same issue. I also heard that it’s the PSU, but i do not know if it is because those people aren’t going through the exact same issue as me. I’m using a 750W EVGA PSU, the part number is 100-N1-0750. I should probably also mention that I have one Cable that has two pcie 2/6 that are all on one cable, people said that’s one of the issues, but my psu is not modular and you can’t replace the cables. I will also post my specs. Please someone help me with this issue, I just got the GPU brand new and I’m scared that I messed up.Specs:Motherboard: GIGABYTE: X470 ultra gamingCPU: Ryzen 2700xGPU: GIGABYTE RADEON RX VEGA 64 OC 8GBRAM: Corsair vengeance 2x, 2x8GBSSD: XPG SX6000 LITEPSU: EVGA 750W 100N10750
  9. Thanks for the advice, I feel a lot more confident now that my GPU seems legit.
  10. So I recently purchased this GPU on eBay, as seen in the pictures. It was a good price in fact, too good to be true. I didn’t want to miss the opportunity so my impulses got the best of me and I went straight ahead and purchased it. Later on I looked at the images in closer detail, realizing that they seem a bit off. My instincts are telling me that this isn’t an Radeon rx 580. Just by the pictures shown, can anyone confirm that this GPU is legit? I also dug into a bit of research (and I mean A LOT of research...) trying to see if any I can find the GPU that was shown in the picture. And I couldn’t find it. There were a lot of GPUs that looked similar, but not the one I purchased. This led me to further speculation that it could be a counterfeit. I’m not very familiar with AMD and their GPUs, and I’m definitely no expert. Anybody who knows a ton about GPUs mind helping me out with this? Thank you!
