There doesn't seem to be anything that is particularly good or bad in value (other than the 'low end'/older card or the higher end). The best options seem to be the RTX 2070 and 2060 (not super for both).
In terms of power usage, these two aren't doing half bad either.

In the meantime untill you get F@H work again download BOINC and show rosetta etc some love guys!
They are also helping with COVID!

@GOTSpectrum I know you must have a load of work to do now but maybe you can add to the main post for the emergency response, that peeps shall be doing Rosetta or something like that in the meantime while not getting WUs form F@H? We have to show them some love also. They already did simulate some stuff I dont understand for COVID.

I couldn't run fah in the cloud. So I run boinc rosetta@home in the cloud. It's much easier to run.

Same here for my PPD... Just sold one of my 1080 Ti. Looks like @yaboistar is gonna make a good difference between two of us until I even attempt to chase him.
Oh yeah, and @LAR_Systems is gonna pass me even faster now...
 
Tho, 450 euro for used 1080 Ti, I think I did a good trade in my favour, looking to buy 2080 Ti or 2080 Super now!

Sadly PPD is gonna get pretty bad for me the coming days. I just sold both 1070's in my server.
There is a pretty sweet upgrade on the way tough, so i should be able to make up for lost time

hey guys. just joined up and started folding on my newly upgraded Ryzen 3800x/Vega64 rig!!!
I do have a now unused Z87 4770k system with 2x 7970's...I'd have to get another power supply but I'm considering setting that up to fold 24/7 if I can figure out how to optimize it for that (linux install, etc)

Well my new RTX 2060 fans have come, on my birthday too! Will be back to full bore folding soon!

So this winter instead of running 4 electric wall heaters in our apartment, we have decided to fold@home with our Steam/Minecraft Server.  Its really just a dell precision T5600 with a second xeon e5-2667 added and 64gb of ram. The appartment is warmer not chilled at the edges any more so much more cozy. Our skin isnt as dry and we get to help look for cures and be part of something bigger.  
 
Today I decided to put all that cycle time to a team, and felt what better community to join than this one.  

Phones are gering faster and faster these days. I wondered why there is no support from F@H, BOINC or something else.
 
Bit now there is fairly unknown app. 
It is called Vodafone Dream Lab.
has nothing to do with the carrier Vodafone. It is the Vodafone foundation, wich is sort of financed by the carrier.

Well I just got my Folding build up and have joined the LTT Team, under the same username.

Just a quick update for all of you with (or planing to get) AMD 5700(xt)/5500(xt) etc.
Finally the beta testing for Core22 wich now fully supports the RDNA architecture is back at beta testing.
So if you want to help testing set your GPU Slot to beta and you should be assigned some work units form core22. The more of us do this, the faster they can develop the Core22.
BUT PLEASE: If your experience frequent crashes dont let it run, since that creates huge piles of unnecessary work/data to go through for the F@H team. IF you’re experience problems switch back to regular and let them know about it. 
 
First reports show 620k-700k PPD on the card wich is pretty ballin at the price. Other Cards also get a performance uplift from about 10%.
This is due to Core22 being built on a MUCH more modern version of OpenMM (thats the API used to compute. Supported by both team green and red).
 
I am REALLY happy to hear this, because I was hesitating on getting a 5700xt, because I want my card not only for gaming but also for F@H!
