I bought this computer almost a month ago and a friend of mine gave me an old monitor. However, my graphics card has only 1 HDMI and 3 DIsplayPorts and the monitor my friend gave me only connects through VGA. My motherboard has a VGA port but I don't know if it's going to work. My motherboard is an MSI Tomahawk Max and my GPU is a GTX 1660 PS: My main monitor is connected to GPU through HDMI

Is a ryzen 5 2600 good for basic programming and game development or should I buy a 3600?
