  1. I used the supplied thermal paste, the one that came with the Dark Rock Pro 4 and as far as I can tell there is no debris in there at least nothing that I can feel with my fingers, but maybe there was some in the initial application ( at least that's my guess )
  2. Hi! 3 days ago I bought a brand new Ryzen system with a Ryzen 7 3700x and a be quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 to keep it cool. Today I returned my mainboard because one of its pcie slots was broken and after uninstalling the tower cooler i noticed that the IHS of the processor as well as the base plate of the cooler were scratchen and punctured (see attached pictures ). I don't know were they came from because prior to install I inspected both the IHS and the cooler, my only guess is that the thermal compound supplied with the cooler must have been contaminated… Should I be worried about those scratches? Some of them ( especially the marked ones ) are pretty deep and you can feel them with your finger. I know that thermal compound is supposed to fill in the gaps but I never experienced such deep scratches on an IHS. Or should I try returning those parts? Processor: Ryzen 7 3700x Cooler: be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 ( and it's thermal compound )
