  1. Nah, I think I'll just give best buy a ring, thanks for taking the time to help me
  2. On the 3900x? That's not really possible, as it restarts before going into windows recovery, it tries to do that on it's own if I let it loop a few times, it says "loading recovery mode" for a few seconds, then screen goes black, fans stop for a sec, then rev up and repeats
  3. I think there's a best buy somewhere nearby, I don't remember how to get into safe mode through the bios, how might I do that?
  4. I doubt it, as I said up there, all the other components work perfectly fine on an Intel cpu/ motherboard combo, just not with the AMD ones, oddly enough, nor would it loop when trying to boot from my windows boot usb, as far as I know at least
  5. Yes, the bios, all the drivers aught to be fairly recent as I updated quite a few not too long ago
  6. Non working configurations CPU: AMD Ryzen 3900x MOBO(s): MSI x570-A pro/ GIGABYTE x570 gaming X RAM: 4x4 GB corsair vengeance GPU: EVGA 2070 black gaming BOOT: patriot torch LE 1TB STORAGE: Samsung QVO 1TB working configuration CPU: Intel I5 6600k MOBO: asus Z170-A pro RAM/GPU/BOOT/STORAGE: All same as above I've reset the CMOS thingie, tried booting with a singular stick of ram, tried booting from a windows boot sticky thing, checked the cpu for bent or broken pins So, I upgraded to a Ryzen 3900x and an MSI x570-A pro about a month or two back, which worked for a time, until it randomly crashed into a boot loop whilst playing Dwarf Fortress and watching YouTube, at the time I thought it was just the motherboard, but now that I've tried the cpu with a motherboard I received about 5 hours ago it can't just be that, I'm allowed into the BIOS, where it lets me spend as much time as I like without re-booting randomly, I really don't know what's going on with this silicon assholes, any idea on how the hell I can fix this?
  7. So, a couple months bought a new monitor, an MSI Optix MAG341CQ 34.0, and noticed that it tends to flicker, especially on grey things, just recently I tried setting the refresh rate down to 60, from the native 100, and that seems to have fixed the problem entirely. While the flickering doesn't bother me too much in most games, it can be a bit annoying, and I've been befuddled as to why it's fine on 60, when from most of the crap I've read says that it should be worse on lower refresh rates, it's really appreciate the help, thanks!
