  1. Me too: Whilst doing an EdX online course via their mobile app, it keeps on trying to open “https://connect.facebook.net/log/fbevents_telemetry/“ in my browser. Annoying, but not catastrophic. Any suggestions about how to fix it would be most welcome. :-)
  2. Robot Wars, the 90s television show where homemade robots battle it out with each other & the professionally built ("house") robots, returns to the TV! I wonder if TeamLTT could enter (maybe aim for the next series) and show us their efforts at building/testing along the way? http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/latestnews/2016/robot-wars-returns Admins: I see there's an off-topic thread about this, but thought it worthy of Tech News. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/526509-robot-wars-just-got-renewed/#entry6988667
  3. Spotted this tweet from easyCarClub which confirms they decrypt & email out passwords to customers - even I know that's just stupid! #facepalm
  4. I enjoyed this series as they are all affordable, makes a change from the many High End reviews (which are fun to watch too.) Even though I don't need a new mother board just now, it's educated me about the things to look for when I do. I am happy with it being 4 parts, and would have also watched one long video; a regular release schedule would have been nice but I personally am not that bothered. Keep up the good work. :-)
  5. Good idea; it'd be great to do videos of useful tips, tweaks and (smaller) purchases for those of us with a limited budget.
  6. I quite like i, e is OK I suppose, π is too common, φ is just poncy and real rational integers are just boring.
  7. Technology Misconceptions: 1) Different brands of chips can be compared using their clock speeds 2) Higher numbers = automatically better 3) More expensive = automatically better 4) High Resolution is just an expensive gimmic 5) Water cooling has no advantages unless playing high end games
  8. If playing games, I usually use headphones, so PC noise is not an issue. At all other times; when working, web browsing or streaming WAN show for example; I use speakers. As I live in a flat they can't be turned up very loud, hence quietness of my PC is very important; I voted 1.
  9. Of that list, I'd go for Wearable tech; only thing on the list I'd consider getting in the near future. VR seems to be winning; I don't see how they can be minaturised enough to make it into the home market. They may well, however, spark a resurrection of the Arcade business.
  10. Ooh, I wonder if I'll win! Hope you get plenty of clicks on that link. :-)
