  1. Just watched a video review of the Corsair Carbide SPEC 6 PC Case and I was wondering if anyone had bought this case also had a Corsair CX550W PSU or something similar and if so, how well did the cabling fit? Looking at the video, I was so unsure that the cables would actually fit very well...
  2. Hi, So after asking about upgrades on a separate part of this forum, people told me that my next upgrade should be an SSD. So I was thinking about asking for one for Christmas. I was going to ask for the 500GB Samsung EVO SSD as I only wish to put my OS on it and store all my games and other stuff on my other hard drive I already have. When looking up on the reviews to see if 500GB was big enough for Windows 10, people were saying they'd just used the cloning programme that came with the Samsung EVO instead of reinstalling it from fresh. My question is have any of you used this and if so, have you had any problems in the future? Cause I've heard you can have problems in the future if you don't do a fresh install. Thanks
  3. Is my CPU not that strong then? I'm just curious cause I had someone else basically outline my build for me cause at the time I didn't really know very much about computers to do it myself so I'm wondering now whether I should've went with Ryzen instead. Thank you both, sorry for the really late reply been very busy with work. I don't know very much about SSD's at all, so could you maybe suggest a few good SSD's as I may get one for Christmas?
  4. Oh sorry, I forgot to add them onto my post, CPU: i5-7500 GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB RAM: 16GB Hyper X 2400mhz HDD: 1TB WD Blue PSU: Corsiar CX 550W Motherboard: Gigabyte B250M DS3H I don't have an SSD. Oh sorry, is there other results on the page I should post? Its my first time using it?
  5. Hi All, So I have been wanting to upgrade my PC a little bit for a while but I wasn't sure what exactly to upgrade. Tonight, I used userbenchmark to benchmark my PC and I was wondering if using these results if anyone could give me any suggestions on what exactly to upgrade? I have attached a screenshot of my benchmark results. CPU: i5-7500 GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB RAM: 16GB Hyper X 2400mhz HDD: 1TB WD Blue PSU: Corsiar CX 550W Motherboard: Gigabyte B250M DS3H I don't have an SSD.
  6. Yeah, sorry I meant I didn't want to have a massive bottleneck or anything to the point it becomes a problem.
  7. To be honest before I built this PC back in December, I didn't know that SSD's were such a big deal. I built this PC using a template from a close friend as to what sort of specs I may need. I will look into getting an SSD as people have said they are essential to have. I don't want have a bottleneck. I'm just wondering if what other people were saying when I asked about updating my CPU were right, that I needed to update my GPU.
  8. Sorry, should probably edit it to say the other way around, as the other way around was what I actually meant
  9. The games I play aren't exactly old old, I play games like Ni No Kuni 2, Smite, Divinity Original Sin 2, Injustice 2, Dragon Quest 11 and Code Vein to name a few so in some of those, my fps kind of struggles and I thought that maybe having more cores might help and more threads. Okay thank you, yeah many have said something similar. I shall keep looking into it.
  10. Okay, thank you for your input, I shall keep that in mind
  11. Well, I want to improve performance for some particular games but it's mostly just playing some slightly more modern games at 1920x1080 res at 60fps I'm looking for without massive fps drops.
  12. I am kind of disappointed in my i5 I won't lie, it's definitely not the worst I could've got for my first gaming PC but in some aspects, it just misses the mark a bit...
  13. I have turned down all of the available settings on Dragon Quest 11 and I still get massive lag spikes. It's not as bad anymore but I do have fps drops on Ni No Kuni 2 as well and some other games too but those two are the games I have the most issues with. Okay, thank you, I shall certainly keep that in mind regarding the GPU's.
  14. Yeah, oops that what I meant sorry . Okay, thank you for your input
  15. I have been wanting to do that but on every forum I've asked about what I should be looking to upgrade too, everyone has said GPU first and it's got me very confused...^^;
