  1. Nothing in the manual. Maybe it was screwed on video card's plate and came off? Or maybe it's a spare part?
  2. Hi, I bought EVGA RTX 2060 and found this nut attached to graphics card's nylon coat that was on video card that I peeled off: What is it for?
  3. Connected to 4 Pin cord to 12V GRBW connector and LED lighting works now. My build is ready!
  4. Hi, I just completed my first build but it does not have a video card yet. It's on its way. I am wondering whether I should still power on my PC now in order to let thermal paste break in between processor and cooler or it does not really matter?
  5. My case is Coolermaster MB511 RGB. It has 3 120mm front fans that have 4 Pin LED cable. He it is: The case came with RGB adapter where this cable is supposed to go however my motherboard has LED strip connector i.e. 12V GRBW Can I connect fans 4 Pin LED cable to 12V GRBW connector? Please note that 12V GRBW connector has 5 Pins and there are no guides.
  6. Hi, I have Coolermaster MB511 RGB case. By default it has 3 120mm front fans that connect to power supply through Molex connector but I want to buy fan splitter to connect them to 1 SYS_FAN connector on motherboard. I am wondering whether 1 SYS_FAN connector can support 3 120mm fans. If I remember right I read that it can only support 2 fans but I may be wrong. What has been your experience?
  7. I just read reviews on Amazon for some of PSUs and sometimes (rarely) it happens so I still want to take precautions. I read about 2 pins method to make PSU work without connecting to motherboard so maybe I should try it and it should be enough?
  8. Hello, I do not have power supply tester so should I power on PC with only motherboard connected for the first time? That is to avoid potential harm to other components if power supply happens to be bad one.
  9. Is there an early warning system on SSDs that will make me be aware of potential failure? I know HDDs have S.M.A.R.T which does that but with SSDs, they just stop working abruptly.
  10. Hi, I am doing a new build with 1x 250GB Samsung SSD and 1x WD 2TB HDD Will this be okay for gaming? All of the games will sit on HDD. Should get another 1x SSD with 3D NAND for "hardware hungry" games? If I get SSD with 3D NAND, isn't there a risk of suddenly losing saved games when drive goes bad? I know that with HDD there is a way to recover data if it goes bad so maybe I should stick to WD 2TB HDD? What are your thoughts?
  11. Can you have a look on this motherboard and let me know if you see ARGB header there? The motherboard is Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite. And if I have say, 3 PWM + ARGB fans, does that mean I will need 3 PWM + 3 ARGB header slots on motherboard?
  12. Hi, I wanted to get 2 Arctic Prizm 120mm coolers for my new case but it seems each fan has 4-pin fan connector and 3-pin RGB connector. I have 2 questions: - Does that mean I will need to buy a fan controller/hub to connect those fans? In that case I would be better off buying a pack of 5 fans that includes fan controller/hub? - If I connect only 4-pin part and leave 3-pin part hanging, will fan still work?
  13. Hello, This Gigabyte power supply has 5 PCI-e slots, correct? Including slots for CPU. If yes, then why does Gigabyte's specifications say it has 6 slots? Here is a screenshot.
  14. Hi, Here's a photo. There are 2 USB+ marks on 2 left ports and 2 ports on the right. What are these USB+ marks and how are they different from USB 3.0? What port would I want to connect uninterruptible power supply, USB keyboard and what port would I want to transfer from/to data? Thanks.
  15. 2018 Black Friday was on November 23rd. This Keepa graph shows that Amazon dropped R7 2700 price from $265.99 to $249.99 on November 20th, 3 days prior to Black Friday. There is a good chance it will do same on this Black Friday based on historical data.
  16. That's one, not so popular cooler right there. At least it's not on Amazon and their official website is not into selling. What do you think about Scythe Mugen Rev.B cooler?
  17. With stock cooler, will Ryzen be more limited in terms of reaching and staying on its maximum speed compared to tower cooler?
  18. Hey... How does Ryzen 5 3600 perform in a hot climate with stock fan and stock thermal paste? I am concerned because in summer, we have temperature 32 to 37 degrees celcius (89.6 - 98.6 fahrenheit) As I am building new PC, I am wondering whether I should go stock fan and thermal paste or go aftermarket fan with aftermarket thermal paste. I will not be overclocking CPU. Thanks.
  19. Hi, Please help me identify 3 motherboard components that I marked with white arrows on the motherboard on the photo below (left side):
  20. Hello, I was browsing online shop and saw headphones. One with 5.1 surround sound and another with 7.1 THX sound. I have a few questions: 1. If I have 7.1 THX headset, must I also have onboard 7.1 channel sound card to make 7.1 THX work on headset? 2. If I don't have onboard 7.1 channel sound card, what/how many channels will I hear in 7.1 THX headset? 3. Let's suppose I have RealTek 5.1 surround sound card on my motherboard. With 7.1 THX headset will I hear 5.1 surround sound? Thanks.
  21. Hi, I wanted a system with Ryzen 5 3600, RT 2060 and 16GB of RAM first but I learned that some games like DCS (Digital Combat Simulator) require 16GB at least in normal missions and 32GB of RAM in heavy missions. Should I free some of my budget in favor of additional 16GB of RAM and compromise on CPU and take Ryzen 5 2600 instead? If I am not mistaken there is little difference between those CPUs and I heard that Ryzen 5 2600 has another 3 years of future proofing. Anyone ever played DCS with 16GB of RAM and can chime in on their experience? Thanks.
