  1. i used the same cable but different slot to get 240hz
  2. could it be that i have a defective display port? one of my monitors is a 1080p 240hz the aorus kd25f and when i plug it into the second display port i was not able to get 240hz, only 144hz. while the other dp was able to get me 240hz. that is the port the rift s is currently plugged into when i game.
  3. 750w corsair gold rating, msi gaming edge? two sticks of 16gb trident z neo 3600mhz 16 or 18 cas latency
  4. my current setup is a strix 2080ti with a 3700x. i run a double monitor setup with both at 1080p but when i play beat saber on a rift s, it occasionally stutters which i feel like it should be the case, even when i was only running a single monitor setup. i have my 2080ti oc at +200mhz and +600 on memory but my heaven benchmark score seems a bit low. my temps are fine with gpu hovering around 70-80 under load and the cpu around 60-70 under load.
  5. my computer will randomly reboot without warning or blue screen. I have overclocked, undervolted everything to find the issue but nothing prevents it. No set time either, can happen while playing games or browsing web. 6. So my gpu core clock keeps fluctuating, which i think is causing my computer to crash games and freezing my monitor and turning off the monitor signal. How can i fix this? The situation gets better if i just go to default settings but it still crashes just later.
  7. the gpu light turns on but the pc itself wont boot, fans post etc
  8. @Bombastinatori know about the psu, but this build recommended a 650watt, but this 750 was on sale for less.

Gpu waiting for actual day of Black Friday but looking for a 2080 super to ti
  10. @SlottrI likely wont oc much, many of my games are gpu intensive so maybe might oc the gpu. i also dont believe i have enough cooling to keep both the cpu and gpu oc at all times.
  11. @Slottralso for the samsung nvme drive, Id rather have the best and most well known for an ssd to minimize risk of failure. Also another question, will the 3700x or the 9700k bottle neck the 2080 super? Also the power supply, i have people telling me to invest in a platinum grade psu to prevent failures. If i have extra budget should i upgrade the psu?
  12. @SlottrSo my realistic budget would be 1500-2000, pref staying around 1800. hence why im waiting til cyber monday. As for the 2080 card,,, it was more for the aesthetics since i dont really like how evga cards look. As for the ram, i like having multiple applications running such as discord, music, obs etc on two monitors which is why i opted for 32gbs but also to future proof. Im still not sure if i still need this much ram tho. As for the amd card, are there any major differences from building with it to bios tweaking compared to intel?
  13. @Slottr1080p rn usually, prolly gonna get a 1440p one on cyber monday as well. I also have a 4k tv with 120hz capabilities so will also attempt to play mhw on that beast. Minimum refresh rate at 144hz but willl prolly try to get a 240hz monitor. I usually play competitive shooters but i also play alot of monster hunter world/nier automata. Im building this to play dying light 2 in ray tracing as well.
  14. @OlympicAssEaterI have never built with amd before, so im kinda still an intel slave.
  15. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jTRb8M Current build, budget in the is unknown currently. Waiting for cyber Monday before purchasing thus will likely change heavily. Please comment on anything that can be improved and/or may not work.
