  1. Pancake/Hotcake clarification Crepes - Really thin. Pancakes - About twice the thickness of a Crepe. Hotcakes - Have raising agent and are really thick and fluffy. These are what most people know as 'Pancakes'. The words hotcake and pancake have slowly become interchangeable even though they are different.
  2. It depends on what flavour I want If I'm doing asian food or regular pan frying I tent to stay away from olive oil and use rice bran or peanut. Frying crumbed foods I tend to use butter with any other oil depends how I'm feeling or what I'm fying If I'm cooking mediterranean or middle eastern food I use olive oil
  3. You sir need to check out this site http://glutenfreeonashoestring.com/ For all the recipes for things you thought you couldn't have any more. Gluten free Nutella bread, miniature smore pies and much more. She even has cereal recipes.
  4. Have you tried Coke Life it has 35% less sugar as it has Stevia as well. It tastes almost like the real thing
  5. So this week in Australia we have a charity event called the Biggest Morning Tea where people donate money to have tea, coffee and baked goods for cancer charities. I'm not going but I'm donating baked goodies. I give you my Red Velvet Cupcakes
  6. Screw the thickshakes. Caramel latte frappe is where it's at
  7. The Scotts still do savoury oatcakes http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=1619281
  8. Just cooked a big batch of fried rice. So yummy. Tossing up whether to make beef and broccoli or beef and blackbean tomorrow night
  9. I have a friend that works for Lego in Slough UK. She is so bad with tech she has trouble changing her ring tone. She owns thousands of pieces of Lego but I would never let her near my rig
  10. That's nice. Mine still doesn't know how to hit 'Enter' twice to get out of lists even though I've shown her at least 30 times
  11. Because it's like trying to find the dong on a fat dude. You'll never know what you find by the time you finally get to it
  12. I had a Dell that I bought in 2003. It lasted for 7 years being held together with dust and tobacco tar. It blew 5 caps before it completely died. My little (not really little) Dell that could R.I.P. It didn't have wifi cause there is something funky in the wall of my room, but that is fine cause I was streaming and gaming on it back in the day when wifi wasn't the beast it is now
  13. So when I told my mom that my computer had blue screened twice in the last week she replied "oh no, not the blue screen of death". She is finally picking things up, such a proud moment. She still hasn't figured out left and right clicking completely so it was a little strange too.
  14. Nice near miss with dipping it in the crazy gene pool
