  1. Thanks for the replies! I have fixed the startup problem, the CMOS battery was in fact almost dead. Left the PC connected to power for 2 whole days (normally I disconnect all power) and today it started up without issue. Still the 2nd problem persist. I can't play games full screen, but several games I can play windowed. Any tips on that?
  2. Couple of hours later, I reverted everything back to stock settings, still I can't do anything game-related. It crashes after about 2 minutes in, first the video freezes, but sounds keeps playing, then the BSOD. WIndows Event Viewer shows that at the time of the crash, Service Control Manager can't start several (45) services because of the same reason: Medium protected from writing. No clue what that means, Google learns that only happens with removable discs. Will test in a minute if the boot problem has been fixed.
  3. So I took my time to update every driver, and checked the bios and firmware of the motherboard, both were up to date. Stock settings is what I'm gonna try after a couple hours of sleep. Interesting to note: - when in device manager,I see 3 unknown devices, but also no sata controller, like described in toms hardware fix, provided by ShredBird - Nvidia audio is showing up twice in the device manager, saying the digital sign of the driver couldn't be verified (code 52) (translated from Dutch) Will post again once I go in bios/RoG EZ mode, and put everything to stock settings
  4. Thanks for the quick reply. No sadly, it has been an issue as of late, when I think about it, about a month after installing win10 (win7 before) Thanks for the notice about PCPartPicker, missed that setting. I have tried that toms hardware fix, but I couldn't find the "iastor.sys" one, mine all have a letter attached, like iastorE.sys or iastorF.sys. When I did do the steps anyway, it changes nothing. Also there are 3 unknown devices, which Drivermax cant pick up and download drivers for.
  5. Hi there, So I have this issue with my build. 1. When I turn on the power, after 1 or 2 seconds it automatically shuts off, waits 5 seconds and then starts normally, all on his own. 2. I can't run any games anymore, full screen that is. Some games I can't play fullscreen, but it allows me to play them windowed borderless. I get a DPC Watchdog Violation BSOD, and it then shuts down and reboots. This forum showed me that I need to stresstest my CPU, GPU and RAM, all passed. (PowerMax stress tests) (FPS drops to about 15 tho, but figured if there was something wrong, it would let me know) CoreTemp shows me that none of the temperatures gets above 70 degrees Celsius. Windows Event Viewer shows that there are some Critical and some Errors mentioned, but none of them make any sense to me. Also sometimes, when I put the PC to sleep, it awakens all on his own a couple of minutes later, but when I log in to that to shut it down again, I noticed that the HDD drive has gone missing. Rebooting fixes this. Please help me, I have no idea what part is failing, because obviously there is something dying. My build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Lance8817/saved/#view=XMQ4nQ
