Hey LTT Forum,
I recently cleaned my vintage Mitsumi KFKEA4XA (PS/2) after years of being a daily driver. It now only half-works! I pulled the keys, and decided after careful consideration on dabbing cotton swabs in a bowl of tap water with a tiny amount of dish soap mixed in, cleaning the tray, then flipping the swab to the dry end and sopping up any moisture. It's been 48h of air drying in a warm room and yet upon checking, many keys have yet to come back online. Some come on only to die again. I even tried putting it over a vent last night - no improvement. Please help me save this as it's a rare-ish board and even more, it means something to me as I've had it (used, not first owner) since the early 2000s. I love boards like this but it is not in the budget (very poor & chronically ill) to go and spring for a new one. (Plus, I get bad hand pains from most modern boards one can buy in a store.) Forgive me if my typing is a bit strange, onscreen keyboard and all.
What can I do to save my board?
