Hello to all, I have managed to configure my openvpn server sccording to this video: However, i am facing some problems and i am asking for your help. On my android phone, i can successfully browse the SMB share on the TrueNAS system. But that is all I can do. I cannot access the config webpage of the TrueNAS system, or acccess my plugins/jails or other smb shares on the network. Please, give me some direction on where is the mistake. Configs: my lan: 192.168.1.0 OpenVPN IP pool: 10.20.0.0 static route on Truenas (Network->Static Routes): Deestination: 10.20.0.0 Gateway: 192.168.1.107 Portforwarding on the router is also configured Tuneables are set. I would like to extend my 'nas' (computer running manjaro + SMB). For now, it is a single 3 TB HDD (ext 4) with some samba shares. However that is too little storage for my shares and Plex folders. I will buy 4 4 TB ironwolf drives. How should I configure it? Which file system should I use? What is the minimum amount RAM, I need for the file system? My objective is: tons of space with adequate redudancy for drive failure. Would a small sdd (cache) benefit me on a gigabit network? (Probably not) How could I setup a different (also manjaro) pc to make snapshots from important files in the new array? (Would like to save those to my existig 3 TB HDD).

How could I use Plex in this context? I don't want to play my music on the android phone. I want to use my phone to start the playback ON the pc.

Hi, Here is my goal: I want to use my Linux pc as a music streamer. I have a usb dac connected to my pc, and i want to use my android phone to play music stored on the PC. (So, I would have an android app which would show my library and I could start a playback from that app (in original quality)) How could I achieve this? And also it would be nice if I could cast Spotify to it. Thank you for the answers

I have added the coolbits option to the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file. The nvidia-xconfig tool adds the option to the screen, not to device.

It only works (if you use the latest kernel and driver), if you run the xserver as root. Otherwise it doesn't work. And this is the problem I would like to solve. I don't want to run xserver as root, yet I want control over my GPU

I have a problem with my 2070 on Manjaro. I have set the coolbits correctly, yet I am unable to edit the fancurve. However, if I change to a virtual console, and start xorg as root, it works perfectly. How can I solve this? How is it possible to run xorg rootless AND use coolbits?

I had to reinstall my OS. I went with the gnome flavour of manjaro. After boot, it is perfect. However, after a day the UI becomes extremely laggy. I have to restart it (however it is also a fileserver and vpn server so downtime is not good). Any suggestions?

At this time i could not undervolt the gpu. It is stock. I have 175W at my disposal according to greenwithenvy. I cannot make coolbits to work. but working on it

I am using linux and in the spare time i use my 2070 to mine etherium. (I know that it will not make me a fortune) I get around 35-40MH/s Is this expected or shall i tinker with it more?

I have a gigabyte z170hd3pro motherboard. There was a utility for Windows which could control my fan speeds (cpu, aux1, aux2). Is there a way I can do this in Linux? (Bios is not an option. I don't want to reboot to adjust the fan speed) Thanks for the answers Edit: I am using manjaro

What are you talking about? There was one project on GitHub aiming to bring back global menu in GNOME, however that was discontinued because GNOME doesn't export the menu bar any more....

I don't like gnome and as far as I know, gnome doesn't support global menu bar.

Hi, I have ripped a TV show from 2 sources (one pal and the other is NTSC). I would like to merge them into a single mkv file. The problem is that the audio tracks are not the same duration. They have different length of padding at amthe end, so if I run the atempo filter, there is a sync issue. How could I fix this issue? (I would prefer a batch solution) Thank you for your answers

Hello, I have a problem. It seems that my laptop has randomly a huge input lag with no apperant reason. Both the mouse and keyboard suddenly gain lag. (i move the mouse / type, but nothing happens. after a while it all happens) I have clean installed several version of windows and gpu drivers (including the latest and 2 decrement), however the problem persist, unlike my teared hair.... Please share any advice, i am out of ideas. My laptop is an acer A717-71G-72C0

Hi, There is several hundred images. I have categorized some of them into directories. However, due to recent back ups, i have a directory wich containes every photo that our familiy has ever made. I need to find out which images has NOT been categorised yet. How can i achieve this?
