  1. When I updated to Windows 1803, task manager reported my ram speed as 931. Which Im assuming is what you mentioned above and was really running at 1866. I updated my BIOS and the task manager was reading correct at 1833. But I also thought this was low, and when i tried enabling XMP to 2666 which crashed my system because that speed isn't supported with 4 DIMMS on my MB. I just recently changed it to XMP 2133 and have had no issues so far and ran a few MemTests and all seemed well. My MB says I can do up to 2400 so I might try that next. However what would be the performance jump from 4x4 16GB @ 2400 vs 2x8 16GB @ 3200 I guess is the real question now. EDIT: Added CPU-Z shot of Memory, I'm seeing max bandwidth at 2132, so I'm assuming 2133 is the max I can go atm?
  2. Just using the Stock AMD cooler, and I have a Seasonic 550w Bronze. I am on the latest BIOS 5.80 for Pinnacle Ridge, however I haven't tested XMP since then which I will do ty!
  3. So last time I tried to enable XMP was when I updated to 1809 and it actually was showing my RAM speed at 900 something which I thought was totally weird. I haven't tried recently on 1903 so maybe Windows was having an issue. I will try to set XMP to 2133 as this is the fastest I can go on SR/4 DIMMS I believe. Would Memtest64 be sufficient to test this setting as well? Thanks for the reply. Also I am on the 5.80 BIOS which is the latest ASRock recommends for Pinnacle Ridge.
  4. Yeah I'm not quite sure why the speeds are low. My ram model is F4-2666c15-4GVK Which is normally a 2x4 8GB 2666 kit. But for some reason enabling SMP to 2133 well crash my system so I was forced to turn it off. Not sure if this was because I was filling all 4 DIMMS for 16GB. Which had me thinking I should go for a 2x8GB kit instead.
  5. So my current system: R5 2600 ASRock AB350 Pro4 RTX 2070 8GB 16GB - 4 DIMMS 2400 120GB Western Digital Green m.2 1TB HDD Im thinking a 2x 16GB kit at 3200 or 3600 would be a decent upgrade, but also my MB has a unused NVMe m.2. So I'm unsure of the performance gains I would get moving my boot drive to the NVMe slot with a more modest 250GB and if its totally worth it. Also I would like to have a better upgrade path through AMD and I'm concerned with my B350 not supporting past Gen 3. So maybe its worth going for a B450? Thank you and sorry if this wasn't the right place for this discussion I'm brand new here!
