You will be fine. modern day electronics are built with smart controls on the battery chargers to prevent damage from leaving it on the charger.

I literally cant even go to settings, start menu or anything. Its just keeps on flickering. I can open some stuff using the task manager but thats it.

I just gave up and used a new installation of windows (bye 2tb worth of games that i have to redownload again in 15 mbps internet) its fine now . But that was suprr annoying.

Just stick with the included fan. Its good enough for its purpose. If you have planned to replace the fan, you could have gotten a more expensive and effective cooler instead.

Unless you're after a specific aesthetic, I would stick with the original fan. You're probably not going to improve the thermal or noise performance noticeably by upgrading the single fan. Some of the best fans for static pressure and low-noise performance are Noctua's NF-A12 and NF-F12, but again I don't think it's worth the upgrade.

my first rig was back in 2006 or 8? i had those athlon cpu (forgot which one) and a 9800gt or something lower. that pc was horrible when crysis got released lol. so i used it until like the release of skyrim where i literally had to play at windowed more small scale resolution. then i had 2 laptops between 2012 and 2017. then my current PC upgraded from 2017. i was like 14-15 when i had my first personal build so i know it was a bad build lol. my first PC was back in 2000 though windows 98 was so advanced(in my country)

MartinKweh got a reaction from CuzimBetter in How do i get my cpu off my cooler?
    1. Check if all the pins are intact.
    2. Find anything thin that can act as a prying tool or a way to remove the thermal paste(a sheet of acetate, a sturdy long thread, or even a flat head screw driver)
3.Carefully place the tool between the cpu cooler and the cpu ihs and carefully pry. If using a string, make a saw motion to remove the thermal paste without too much force.

I think that with enough air flow/pressure, the hot air /cold air science has little influence. I think its fine.

TDP for intel is kind of a joke. But being 14 nm and similar performance, it will consume more power.

It is a piece of shit browser that school are employing to do online tests in lockdown. Protest it as much as you can, it is pratically a virus. Ever had a program that literally disables the ability to shut down the computer without pulling the power? No? Well that is one of the many thing that Respondus does.

Calm down, take some deep breaths, and think logically. If your emotions are really tied that much to video games I would recommend you listen to the OST of one of your favorite games or whatever game's soundtrack made you feel good. Keeps you happy. My personal favorite is the soundtrack of Forza Horizon 3 and 4, but I think the most popular has to be Minecraft. But Minecraft's OST can just make you cry, a happy cry, because of a deep nostalgia, but that won't help bring your computer back to life.

Think logically: Something changed unexpectedly when you swapped in the old card. 1st off: Where was this spare HDD used previously. Is it literally a clean never used version of W10 or was it previously used by another computer? If it was previously used, I would suggest either formatting it and installing W10 on it or creating a Windows 10 Creation Bootable Media USB and plugging that into the back of your motherboard.

When it hangs on the MSI logo, is there a spinning circle/ring of spinning dots beneath the logo? The answer to this could be really helpful.
Can you confirm you have attempted to boot into all 4 of these configurations since the problem appeared:
Old HDD, RX 580 Old HDD, 1050 Ti New HDD, RX 580 New HDD, 1050 Ti. Making sure all four don't work is important.  Also you are getting the same orange with white lines screens when you boot with either GPU? Like the same result on a GTX and a Radeon card? Because if so that makes the problem more complicated because it means one of the GPUs isn't dead.

I'd be glad to help if you can be just as helpful to me by including detailed and truthful replies.

The 390x and the 970 has practically the same performance. Electricity being pretty expensive in my country, i think the extra cost on the 970 will pay for it self.

    It will probably be ok.
These low end graphic cards are basically designed to go in pre-built PCs.

The CPU alone uses about 65W.
The GPU is about 30W GPU according to specs, but lets assume it can maybe use up to 75W for what it can consume at most... (PCI-e slot max power delivery)

If we consider everything else... There's no way you're exceeding 200W regardless.

I'd personally say it should be fine with the 300W PSU. Even if it's a low end one.

Did you close the side panel when turning it on  ?  It looks like a prebuilt so most of the time, there is this button thing that prevents you from turning it on when the case is open.
