MrBrightSyde reacted to H_Brandon in Best Air cooler for 9700k?
I assume the Be Quiet Pure Base 500DX is compatible wit the DRP4 ?
If so then we have a winner.

Just added a couple more cases, the Lancool II Mesh and Pure Base 500DX

He's from the fucking UK, not the US. You can't just say "for the price, it's better" when it doesn't even apply to him.
And The H510 is at most, a side grade from what he already has. He should get the P400A Digital or Meshify C if he wants better airflow.

Unfortunately, the P400A has the same CPU cooler clearance as the Kolink case you have. The Meshify C however, can fit the DRP4, the NH-D15 and Deepcool Assassin III.
Let me look for a couple more cases.
Edit: Lian Li Lancool II Mesh and be quiet! Pure Base 500DX are also alternatives that can fit the NH-D15 and DRP4

That doesn't even fit his case.
@H_Brandon Some of these depends on your RAM and motherboard, so if you could tell us that, we can narrow it down more.
Scythe Fuma 2
NH-D15S (not the NH-D15)
NH-U12A
Scythe Mugen 5
Scythe Ninja 5

Again, doesn't fit. The case only allows CPU coolers 160mm and lower.

No it's not. It's either the NH-D15 or Deepcool Assassin III (they trade blows and it depends on if you noise-normalize or just run on full speed), which he still cant use with the case. Also, the Fuma 2 and Ninja 5 are better in price to performance. Only a degree or 2 behind the DRP4 while being about 20 pounds cheaper

MrBrightSyde got a reaction from TrizziMate in Compatibility - CPU Cooler + Case Fans
...You know PCPartPicker already tells you on the page near the top (though sometimes they can't confirm compatibility due to either parts being very old or very new, or lack of specs of the parts)
But yes, they should work together.
-
MrBrightSyde got a reaction from H_Brandon in Best Air cooler for 9700k?
Then any of the ones listed should work, IIRC

MrBrightSyde reacted to Spotty in Wondering if i should get a new psu
If you're planning on building a new system you should not use a 10+ year old power supply.

The energy usage was actually one of the main reasons why I wasn't super onboard with cryptocurrencies. It just seems insanely wasteful.

MrBrightSyde reacted to RejZoR in Game Streaming's Dirty Secret
Bullshit. If we're bitching about gaming and streaming, then we should also bitch about EVERY shape or form of entertainment that uses any kind of electricity to work. Oh, racing cars? Pollution and global warming. TV? Muh electricity. Radio? Muh electricity. Newsflash, our world runs on electricity. Hell, forums and "social media" to bitch on about global warming runs on electricity and produces fuck ton of heat. Pick all of them. Or none. Picking on games and gamers exclusively is the most fucking boomer thing possible and to this date I NEVER used boomer thing to bitch about something.

MrBrightSyde reacted to RejZoR in Apple considers transparency information as irrelevant and forbids info about their 30% cut
I as consumer don't give a shit what or who he paid. I wanted to buy the game from anywhere else than dumb Epic store and I can't do that because he DICTATES that it can only be bought from Epic store. I hope you sense the point I'm setting here. As it's not any different than Apple's situation, just in reverse where Epic is on the receiving end...

MrBrightSyde got a reaction from Haro in Best PSU for a new system
Then you would be missing out on good PSUs. Super Flower is one of the manufacturers, like Seasonic. They have a wide variety of PSUs ranging from mediocre to high quality, but the Leadex III ARGB is also one of the best PSUs out there. Bitfenix gets most of their PSUs from CWT like Corsair and their Formula Gold and Whisper M PSUs are some of the best out there.
@Wlayey Honestly, the Whisper M is a steal compared to the rest of them

or jsut buy a used android phone which is often times cheaper than a used iphone, so you could sell your iphone, buy a used android phone and have money left over.
GOOGLE DOES THE SAME!!! the Play Store has a monopoly under people who aren't tech nerds who understand what sideloading is and how it works.
-
MrBrightSyde reacted to Ashley MLP Fangirl in Apple Terminates Epic's App Store Account
no they don't. if you don't like the app store buy an android phone. it's that simple. google also didn't make third party app stores avaliable, they just allowed you to sideload which is a massive security problem and thank the gods that apple does not allow that.

MrBrightSyde reacted to Spotty in Should I buy an 850 watt power supply for the new 12 pin connector from Nvidia relating to the Ampere graphics cards?
Wait until the cards are released and there is independent reviews of the cards before deciding what you should purchase.
-
MrBrightSyde got a reaction from Piemantr in How many watts do I need? 2.0 (Intel 10/Nvidia 3000 series update)
A quality 450w is all you need for gaming, but if your 9900k and 2080ti are both under full load (from applications like folding@home), it's going to be drawing about 500w on stock settings, 550w with the 9900k clocked at 5.0Ghz all-core. So a quality 650w would give you 100w of headroom (minus whatever wattage your storage and RAM draw, but it's minuscule) in the worst case scenario.
-
MrBrightSyde got a reaction from Piemantr in Old Power Supply Question
And still overpriced when the Phanteks AMP 550w is $97, and the 650w is $105.98, and the 750w is literally only $1 more than the 550w RMx
Not to discredit the RMx, which is probably one of the best Gold rated PSUs, but it's just not worth the price.

MrBrightSyde got a reaction from TVwazhere in Airflow Question
There are better cases out there, but if you already have it, it's probably fine, though we don't know how hot the 3000 series cards run so it's all speculation.
