  1. Used to watch LTT until a couple years ago, moved onto GamersNexus and HardwareUnboxed. My take is that Linus fucked up and is deflecting all blame from himself. What they did to the prototype from Billet Labs and the video they created for it is shameful. I remember why I stopped watching in the first place. There is also the rushed scheduling for videos that allow for multiple mistakes to get by, including bad test results. They are a multi-million dollar company, and they are worried about $500? Must be running on thin margins if taking the little amount of extra time to correct their mistakes breaks the company budget.
  2. Black just means "normal" as in, there isn't anything that makes it stand out from the others in their tier.
  3. Only thing I've seen killed by the P-GMs (other than themselves) are SATA hard drives, but it's not a common issue.
  4. Depends when you last check the list. Was it back when there still was B+ and A- tiers instead of gold and "low priority"? Because B+ tier became B tier, B tier became C tier and C tier merged with D tier (I've type tier so many times, it stopped registering to me as a real word)
  5. Just to add some info, I have a Thermaltake Toughpower GF1 PE 750w, with a EVGA FTW3 3080Ti and haven't had any issues, tested using Furmark and Prime95 on a 9900k with a 4.9Ghz all-core OC. So the 750w depends on your power supply.
  6. Depends on if the GPU has 2 8-pins or 3 8-pins. 750w should be fine for a 2 8-pin 3080 (just check my sig). I wouldn't overclock it, since underclocking would be better in any case. It consumes too much wattage for so little performance gains. Don't know about the 6800 XT, so someone else will have to chime in. A 850w wouldn't be bad either, and honestly, for purposes of not having to buy another PSU, the MPG 850w for $150 isn't a bad price. Not a great price, but if it means not having to worry about the wattage, I would go for it.
  7. What needs explaining? They're all tier A, but if you mean what models they are encompassing, I can spell it out. All wattages of the original Leadex Gold model, the 1600w and lower wattage models of the Platinum, the Platinum SE model, the Titanium model, the Leadex II Gold and the Leadex III Gold manufactured before 2020 are all normal Tier A. the post 2020 Leadex III Gold is and the Leadex III Gold ARGB (Pro is for the black model) are considered some of the best units in tier A. I assume the HG is probably the ending of the model name for the Leadex III Gold, but if someone else can clarify, that would be great.
  8. ...this is a cooling tier list, not a GPU tier list
  9. I mean, the Corsair CX-F is a bronze rated PSU that passed the Silver certification, but it's labelled Bronze by Corsair since it's easier to market than Silver. I suspect this is the same with the XPG Pylon.
  10. Depends entirely on the PSU. I don't know many 600w PSUs, but if it's something like the Corsair SF (if you are doing a SFF build), it should be fine
  11. .....it's literally at the top. Tier A gold color, under (multi-rail)
  12. Basically a cost-reduced RMx with lower-quality caps. It's still a good PSU, but not as good as the RMx
  13. Going by build quality: RMx, PowerPlay, RM, GX, Core Reactor (same as GX). I personally like the Corsair customer service, so I recommend either the RMx or RM (RM only if you need that extra 100w). Never had Seasonic, but they are also a good choice from what I hear.
  14. You know...you could just use the spreadsheet, which is updated way more often as more info and reviews are put out. You would know that the Legion Gold HX is already on there and is Tier B low priority. It's low priority since there are no professional reviews on it currently
  15. Neutral pin got burned....poor contact with the PSU socket, most likely. It's not a problem with the PSU itself, it's a problem of not having the cable properly socketed. Either that or your outlet isn't wired correctly. At least, those were the problems I've dealt with, with previous builds that had the cord melt
  16. What??? I don't see any wattage listed next to it. It means all wattages of that model (both the GF1 ARGB and non ARGB) are Tier A
  17. Wait, AX850 Gold or Titanium, since the Gold release way back in 2010 and has been discontinued for a while. the Titanium should still be in production.
  18. That's basically the same quality as the Integrator, but with worse efficiency. Also the 600w version is £5 cheaper. System Power 9 or MWE Bronze V2
  19. They still use the SSR-FM (SSR-FX for the GX) for the model even though the GM has most of the issues fixed.
  20. *laughs in Gigabyte P-GM, EVGA N1/N2, and Cooler Master Elite* Anyways @HadHaw, the TX650M is a great choice for the price. As long as GPUs don't jump in power consumption like they did this with the RTX 3000 series, 650w should be enough for mid-range cards for a while. If you want a 750w for future-proofing, the BitFenix Formula Gold, Corsair RM, and the Antec Earthwatts Gold Pro are some of the choices you have, along with the 750w TXM
  21. Yes it's Tier A. No, the 2017 doesn't mean they were only fabricated in 2017, that is just when they started selling (i think). The TXM is still in production. The reason for the 2017 is to differentiate it from the old TX-m Bronze from 2011, and the other old TX models from 2007-2011.
  22. Double-forward, group-reg trash. What are your specs? Also, the PSU tier list is your friend
