  1. Hello peeps, I had a RX 5500 XT 4Gb in my build for a bout a year then decided to upgrade my monitor by adding a 2k 165Hz then I got a 4k TV since then the GPU has been having some issues so I tried updating the driver and id still have some minor issue but once I DDU I couldn't install any drivers and every time I did try to install a driver from (ASUS website or AMD website) and the automatic thingy GPU detector, id still get this error 182. I did a complete format of my PC reinstalled Windows and updated everything and still experiencing this error. Anyone can recommend anything? Is the GPU broken? NB: in Device Manager, I get 2 devices Intel UHD Graphic 630 (my CPU) and Microsoft Basic Display Adapter with a yellow warning sign next to it Intel 10700K Asus Dual RX 5500XT 4Gb 32Gb RAM 3200Mhz NVME 1tb XPG Z490 E Asus ROG
  2. are you sure about that? I do have 2 nvme on my motherboard. Which one should I try removing?
  3. Yes this is exactly what im gonna do and also I have the RTX 3080 MSI which has nice rgb and aesthetic if mounted vertically and all of case has rgb synced and everything so this kinda the cherry on top
  4. Oh okay I can try buying the Asus ROG rs200 but its like 50-60$
  5. it didn't work im still getting the same result hovering around 70 fps
  6. I don't understand how any of this work. All I know was that If i plug my 3080 directly into the motherboard i get all the performance I need so 144fps on every game with vsync on. But when i use the riser to have a vertical gpu mount it gets slow this is why. I want to use the riser it looks better in my build
  7. Okay great ill try this when i get home. I really hope this works
  8. So basically its not a driver issue since I used DDU already and same problem happened when I used a 3070 Ti and I thought the 3070Ti was bad then I bought this RTX 3080 and I used it without the riser and it was working fine but then I used the vertical yesterday and im back to low frame rates.
  9. any advice on what I should do then? maybe buy another riser cable im trying to look for a 4.0 one. There is the ROG Strix RIser cable 3.0 do you think it will perform better than the one i currently have?
  10. Okay downloaded and Idk if I should wait but im using 100% at 1920Mhz 64 Degree. And it is also saying PCIe X16 4.0 @ x1 3.0
  11. My riser is connected to the main slot and im not running a test with GPU-Z using just CPU-Z to check and ive noticed something. When im the Mainboard tab I see Bus Specs PCI-Express 3.0 however below in the Graphic interface I see Bus: PCI-Express 4.0 and current link width: x1 Max supported: x16 Current Link Speed: 2.5 GT/s Max supported: 16.0 GT/s thats weird
  12. But I am running PCIe 4.0 and I can confirm based on CPU-z and also since ive tried both ways with and without the Riser and theres a huge difference. Yes I know use the GPU without the riser but I want to have a vertical GPU and some users are able to change from 4.0 to 3.0.
  13. Hello peeps how is everyone doing? I had a phantek vertical GPU mount and just learned about PCIe 3.0 and 4.0. My Vega 56 was working very well when I was using the riser and now that I upgraded to a MSI 3080 LHR, im getting 60 fps at 100% usage on starcraft 2/battlefield 1. I tried to go into the bios to change the PCIe to 3.0 but i cant seem to find the setting although I'm following the steps correctly (based on YouTube and forums). Now for my issue I cant seem to find anything litterally anything online so if anyone can give me any tip to change PCIe from 4.0 to 3.0. Rig specs I7 10700 KF RTX 3080 Trio Gaming Z T-Force 32Gb 16x2 running at 2933 Mhz Z490-F ROG Strix (latest BIOS 2103) NVME 256Gb NVME 512Gb Phanteks vertical GPU mount 3.0 PCIe
  14. wait what box do you mean? Im using the asus rog z490-F is it the same there?
  15. I will try that in a few minutes, question what could be the risk if something goes wrong with the RAM tuning. I can't really afford to break those RAM
  16. its really weird whats happening. I don't think im doing something wrong because I used to do it on my old Z270 and it worked but now It just won't work
  17. everytime i restart and go into BIOS it seems XMP is still enabled and all overclock on CPU are also enable (AI optimized). but when i lunch into window the PC will restart reboot twice then go into a cycle with red led for CPU and then orange LED for Dram, it cycle 4 to 5 times then it will boot back into safe mode at 2133Mhz
  18. I updated my BIOS to the last version which should be 2301
  19. Hello peeps, I recently upgraded from a ROG z270 to a ROG z490, I remember enabling XMP on my Z270 and it did work with a 6600K to boost the memory frequency to 3200Mhz however motherboard died after some times and its 95% because of the XMP. (mobo goes into infinite boot loop red led then orange and again). Now with my Z490-F, I can't even go higher than 2133 Mhz. After enabling XMP the board turns off and on TWICE then goes into the same cycle as the Z270 for at least 4-5 times then sends me to bios and the screen before that telling me i booted into safe mode and have to press F1. I never manually overclocked because I don't know how and would rather use the pre set profile just so I don't burn anything. Can anyone help me fix this? I7 10700KF T-force Delta RGB 16x2 3200Mhz MSI 3080 850W MSI Gold (bought yesterday)
  20. So maybe ill try something like get a fresh SSD with windows installed then reinstall all drivers and software and try again in a few games. something fishy is going on here and NVIDIA ITS UR FAULT
  21. Thanks I will check out the video in a bit but in terms of CPU I think I'm good I currently have: Asus ROG Z490 F Intel Core 10700 KF 32Gb Ram T force Delta RGB 3200Mhz SSD 480Gb PSU (soon to be upgraded i hope) RedDragon 700W Bronze (to ROG 850W Platinum i hope) Xigma Aquarius Case with 10 fans At all time the CPU usage is wayyy lower than GPU being at 30-40 and 99-100 respectively
  22. Im getting around 70 to 80 Degree temps in game
  23. Hey guys just a quick update I managed to find the root of the problem and it was coming from my vertical GPU mount (Phanteks) strange that it was working well with the Vega and not the RTX. So I install the GPU directly in the slot and there was a good increased in FPS however I don't feel like the charts I've seen and reviews on gpu.userbenchmark are accurate because I don't feel like the 3070Ti is 100% better than the Vega 56. In battlefield one I still can't hit 144 FPS actually in no game im getting 144 FPS but im well in the range of 100 to 120 or 130. Kind of disappointing for the price i paid, I thought ill never put another frame counter but still am. Anyway just wanna say thank you to everyone who tried to help me and have a good day and stay safe
  24. That's true but I'm keeping my hopes high there's no way thing will end like this. I'm sure another driver will be released or something. Thanks alot for the help anyway
