The machines you recycle, don't they have windows 7 home or pro stickers with keys? They can be used to activate Windows 10 Pro or Home. I used the Windows 7 Pro key on my optiplex 7010 to activate like 3-4 other machines with Windows 10 pro.

If you can, wait for 3050. It might come out in feb. and if what we see on the high end is anything to go by, it wil be WAY better.

I would wait until the new Radeon cards come out to see if prices go down at all. If you want to use this rig for the next few years it would be smart to save a bit more and put it back into the gpu, especially with the new 3070 (hopefully by the time you have saved up enough to get one they are in stock).

Memory does not have to be verified in a board in order to work. Chances are you will be fine.

More RAM, and an SSD. Without telling us the model of the laptop, I can't point you in the right direction for more RAM

a 2060 ko should be great for adobe and get you good framerates at 1080p at high settings
