Lancool 215 is a better version of that nx800. NX800 has honey comb mesh for intake fans and thats bad in 2021 unless its a 30$ case.

Might possibly develop a rust problem if it’s steel.  Perforating a piece of metal can increase its surface area a lot.  If it’s not mild steel though you’re golden even if you scrub through the paint.  Zero chance of affecting airflow though no matter what it’s made of.  Saw a case someone had at a beach house that developed rust issues on its grill from salt air.

ya at first i didn't no what the guy wanted (still dont) but i then was why not mod it? only video i could not find was adding feet to the bottom and adding fans to the bottom as these old case will benefit from it the most. even sleeper builds. sad the art of modding is lost and all thows pics back then are gone off forms all the talks about 90 degree barbs vs straight barbs...  yate loons vs gentle typhoons...

ya cases are sexy out of the box but they dont have your own personalty to it.

oh ps i got an antec lanboy case finnly love that case and goan do mods to it....i no you hate it...

    Yep..

Will order the pc today 11nd august. From the coolers avaible is this on the prebuilt:

So its basicly limited to a certain few coolers.. Even if i wanted the NH-D15 for just 60€ more.. i cant add it so.. Its not really for myself but for someone else but the U9S should do fine i hope for a 5800x stock. Now i just need to find some cheap or decent fans to stick in the front and one on the top back so theres decent airflow 🤔

Wow.. They were cheap... 5x for 25€ isnt so bad.. Will have to bookmark that and tell him tomorrow.. Just praying the B550-F has enough fan-connections or we are f*cked..

Back then they would semi custom build the pc to your specs,So model and specs are not known tell you open it up or turn it on.And yes they made their cases in a few colors back then as well.

I typically just wipe it off with my hand, then get on computing.
But since it is metal, I would think any cleaner would work.
Spray said cleaner onto the RAG, then wipe.
That way you don't spray cleaner all over your components.

    Good Luck.

If you look at the underside of the front cover, there should be what you could think of as a grab handle.
It should be removable so you can clean the fans in the front easier.
Also, my guess is that the font panel is plastic; where as the rest of the case is mostly metal.
Let us know how it goes.

Jason 57 reacted to mariushm in To Any Case Manufacturers - More Options for ATX Please
The problem with cases is the cost of tooling and the shipping.
It can take hundreds of thousands of dollars to make the tooling for a case so typically a manufacturer wants to be able to reuse some or most of these for other cases, and therefore design cases that can be tweaked or changed just a bit to make other designs (ex case with front mesh, case with plastic in front, but the metal structure is the same)

Then it's the problem of shipping. You're shipping empty cases, and they're heavy so they take up volume and they fill up shipping containers, and shipping costs have skyrocketed lately.

You have more diversity on ITX and small cases because it costs less to ship and because people seem to be more accepting of higher costs (the ITX motherboards are more expensive, so a lot of people assume it's perfectly normal for ITX cases to have higher cost)... also they don't have to bundle 3+ fans on an ITX cost which would cut down on their profit.

Now, to get to a solution... Just tell us, what you would like to put into your  dream ATX case (A Dark rock pro 4 will not fit in a slim case), so that we can give you some recommendations.

    Solid front panel or mesh?

    Closed sides, or tempered glass?

Take the front panel off, unscrew the 4 screws that are holding the fan and follow the wire from that fan to its connection (to your motherboard or a fab hub), unplug the fan and re do the steps backwards after you get a new one.
Front panel usually comes of by just pulling it in the lower part, or it has screws not familiar with this case specifically.

Jason 57 reacted to 0ld_Chicken in Test Airflow without a smoke machine
I know right?  and I've got one of the exhausts on a LNA since it draws power from the same circuit as a few of the intakes.  I measured the pressure using small thin plastic flaps over passive vents in 3 spots and also smoke to confirm my suspicions.  I could probably replace 3 of the intakes with models that have better airflow under pressure but i've got 3 intakes with 1.73mm/h20 and 102.6m3/hr (cougars)  and 2 with 1.46mm/h20 and 97.25m3/hr (corsair sp120).  3 exhausts (NF S12A FLX) (one on LNA) 107,5 m³/h full speed, 83.2m3/h LNA

These are all manufactures specs so I do take the numbers with a grain of salt.  I was surprised though that with any configuration of fans (ive tried about all of them I think) I just cant seems to stay positive with the exhausts on 100%.  I do have no problem keeping everything cool but I like to play with the configuration

If you really need a render farm or a crap ton of vram go pick up cheap nvidia tesla gpus off ebay, k80 is like 200-300$ on ebay and it has 24gb vram

Just go into your boards bios and change the fan speed there?

I see no reason for a fan controller as your motherboard can already do that. Yes these fractal fans aren't the quietest of the bunch I've had them before but a little tweaking of the fan curve does a lot.

If you do decide to replace the fans just get some arctic p series fans. Cheap quiet and match noctua nf fans for performance.

Sure, your cables are stupidly long, that happens.  A lot of PSUs have that "issue".

You could also do a much neater job of organizing the, and make that not look like utter crap.  Get some double sided velcro and try it out.
