  1. I recommend the Lian Li Lancool 215. I have built in it recently.
  2. It comes with an AIO and a 650 watt Gold SFX PSU. You only need a MB, CPU, RAM, SSD AND GPU I just checked this morning and they are out of stock. May I ask where you are getting it from??
  3. I would recommend the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh. I have the Performance, they also sell a RGB version. It will hold 3 3.5"HDD (which can also hold 2.5" drives) and there are places for 4 SSDs on the back side of the case. Not sure if it helps, here are photos.
  4. That is why I got the Lancool II Mesh Performance instead of the RGB model. LOL
  5. Go back into Mystic Light and toggle off the setting to override 3rd party software. That should be why you aren't able to use the Lian Li software. Sorry I am at work, so I can't take a screen shot for you.
  6. A Google search got me this. https://www.neweggbusiness.com/product/product.aspx?item=9b-11-999-393 https://www.coolermaster.com/catalog/legacy-products/accessories/h500p-mesh-front-panel/ Shows that Cooler Master does make one. Not sure if this helps. Good Luck.
  7. First off, welcome to the forum. If you are asking for help on a pre-built. It would help to say what kind of / model by which company you have. Also a clear picture of the motherboard. Have you looked at your Manual?? It should show you every port on your motherboard, and explain what they are there for. As a side note, troubleshooting posts, should go into the Troubleshooting sub-forum.
  8. I apologize for not seeing this yesterday. I am off work today, so I am sitting here next to it. As I stated above, sure there is a little bit of vibration when I increase speed, but not enough to be concerned over. If it bothers you, you could either purchase, or find some rubber that you can cut out to mount between the fan cage and the case. (I don't think you will need longer screws, but don't take that for certain.) That will help to isolate the vibration to just the fan and it's housing. If you look closely as fans or any other spinning machine that claims to be quieter, they use rubber mounts between the machine and where it is mounted to. This doesn't allow the vibration to transfer to the rest of the system. (you might have an example in your kitchen, look at how your garbage disposal is mounted to the drain piping under the sink.) Ok, now I am drifting a bit further off topic.
  9. HMMM. I just switched mine to High speed and felt them. The only thing I can really feel or hear is what I think people call coil whine. But, this is coming from an old man who has lost some hearing over time. [especially on the frequency of my wife's voice. YEAH that's why I don't always here her. ] No matter what, it is up to you and your judgement on if you think they are bad. I would contact Lian Li customer support, and see if you can exchange for a fresh set. I guess I am lucky that mine seem fine. Now my debate is do I still want to get a 120MM fan to blow up towards the GPU and a 140MM exhaust on top/rear. I am not really running high end parts, so I am not really sweating it.
  10. Yeah, that would be the actual motor of the fan. @TVwazherewould you agree? If you have the money and want the bling, the Lian Li uni-fans (only in 120MM) are available finally, just a bit more over MSRP than I want to pay. But get the fans that were suggested above. while you get a hold of Lian Li customer support to RMA the fan. Just remember the powered fan hub can handle 6 for power only, not RGB. Actually, now that I think of it. I don't think I have seen pictures of your whole setup yet.
  11. Yeah it seems scary about it. I have never had to push that hard on a plug before. (granted it has been 15 years using SATA now.) I haven't felt or heard anything on mine, and they are at head level for me. (Of course, I also have lost hearing over the years working in the Navy.) But I am pretty sure my daughter, who also uses it to play games, would probably tell me something. But like @TVwazhere said, remove it, leaving it plugged in, and see what happens. If it still rubs, than contact Lian LI about it. Hopefully they would just RMA the fan. Because there is NO WAY I would return that case. Hell, I would go buy some Artic fans if it came down to it.
  12. Have you removed the front of the case and listened to it? Or observed it closer? If the fan is rubbing against the fan cage, then it is not centered like it should be. Try manually spinning it (with the tower off) and see if you feel where it is, and if it is all the fan blades or just one.
  13. AH!! Yeah you just have to push it in until it clicks. I know that sounds not fun, but it will work. As you can see from your picture, your data cable has a lock on it. Just push until it clicks. The other option you have is to purchase SATA Data cables that are straight on connectors instead of the 90 degree ones. If it makes you feel better, I had to all 3 bays. That bottom one was NOT fun. Now I wish I had done that. It would have been easier! (Seriously, I do not know why I didn't see the back plate as being removable.) The plate is just there for if you purchase the hot swappable cage for them. Because it has those connectors already installed on it.
  14. Do you know which model you have? I found about 3 of them, varying in price from $120 to $300. Sadly we don't have True Value Hardware where I live in VA anymore. I normally don't go to Big Lots. But I will have to make a trip. @7heo Thank you for the information. That is really cool and small. My Travaxx wallet has some stuff, but not a blade like that. Cool. I sometimes get stopped at X-ray points when it gets scanned because it has a hook for bottle opening/bag carrying.
  15. First off, I appreciate everyone's input on this. Somehow, somewhere (I really wish I knew where) I lost my every day carry knife. It was just a Coast folding knife with seat belt cutter and window breaker that I think I bought at Home Depot here in the US. I have been looking for a replacement, on and off for a couple of weeks now. I didn't want to go crazy, just something that I would be hopefully under $50USD, Folding blade, part of it serrated. I found a Milwaukee one that came with a wire stripping pliers for about $50. (I already have a wire stripper that is about 20 years old.) I thank you for taking your time to read this and provide feedback. I apologize up front if it takes me a bit to respond, the Internet connection in my area has been lagging quite a bit, both at home and especially at my work.
  16. @jasss221 I mounted my UPS and a surge protector under my desk which is 3/4" plywood by getting Aluminum strap from Lowes, then bending it to hold it in place. I put some pipe foam insulation between the two so it wouldn't scratch it. You could do something the same. Two aluminum straps, have a piece of wood suspended on the bottom to put your case on. use some foam padding to make sure the glass sides don't get scratched.
  17. I just put mine in the MB box. I keep all the manuals, driver CDs (don't have to worry about floppies anymore), and extra parts in there. That way after I record all the Serial numbers from the other equipment, I can cut down on boxes. I see more people now keeping that stuff in the case box. The hoarder in me, says I should just do that. HMMMMM
  18. I really liked this video! It makes me realize how much old tech I loved over the years. And sadly I horded the wrong stuff!! Just another reminder I need to clean out my attic.
  19. Yeah, I am in the same boat. I bought my used GTX 1070 in Fall 2019 for $200USD. I figure I'll hopefully be able to get a new GPU when the RX 7800XT comes out.
  20. Sounds like a decent upgrade. Hopefully you enjoy it. I wasn't able to do my CPU/MB/RAM upgrade that cheap (It was an 8 year old system). Of course I did case, PSU and added more drives when I did mine.
  21. I remember when they put this out on the market. I didn't have a kid for another 2 years. So never really got one. Isn't the same time the Hot Wheels PC cam eout??
  22. If you by chance have the MB users manual, it should list which ports are divided up with the M.2 drives. (eg. what slots are effected) I know when I was researching which MB I wanted to get. It looked REALLY confusing seeing what gets disabled when you plug something into the M.2 slot, or the Bottom PCIe x16? or PCIe x1 slot. Glad that @Heliian was there to help you out. I have been wanting to add an M.2 drive for awhile (would like to have the NVMe speed), but I currently have 3 SSDs and 3 HDDs plugged into my SATA ports. I know have to give up a couple when I add the NVMe, just have to decide which ones I can live without. LOL
  23. I would think if you held up the radiator with a light from the other side, you would be able to see if the fins/passages are blocked. Since air (or any fluid for that matter) will take the path of least resistance, it will tell you if something is blocked. I gather from you saying that you upgraded fans, maybe there was a build up of material (dust or what-have-you) on the surfaces of the radiator fins, which might be obstructing airflow. Did you clean the radiator before you attached the new fans? I know it is a pain to do, but I would recommend, taking it back apart (if you can look through it without having to take the heat sink/cold plate off the CPU) it would be less work. Look at said fins, maybe blast some air at them/or vacuum (recommend in the direction opposite of fan airflow) to remove any clogged passages. Then reassemble, and see if that improves anything. Sorry, for the long reply. I hope it helps.
  24. I was thinking the only reason I would put 3 fans on the front of the Mesh Performance is if you wanted air blowing on the HDDs directly. I have thought of putting 2 fans facing the GPU, or at least one, but my 1070 isn't running hot enough to justify it. Will do about the sound meter app. My only negative gripe on the Mesh Performance/RGB is that if you want USB-C on the front IO, you have to buy the $15USD accessory and install it yourself. (It isn't hard to do, just time consuming.) But in all seriousness, I absolutely LOVE this case. I don't do any extra RGB (my daughter told me I should keep mine dark and performance oriented). If you have any other pictures you want of either the Mesh Performance or the 215, I'll take what I can and post them.
