  1. Damn. Only issue now os that the )12 has problems fitting on itx boards where all of them are only, if at all, compatible with a top fan. Also checking prices for the z690 boards it makes literally 0 difference. The asrok boards fall instantly flat due to not enough rear IO. 5 usbs are not enough for anyone. And not going itx just to have 5 usb hubs extra taking space xd.
  2. I am actually so surprised by this considering the thickness of the L9x65. I guess thickness is not everything
  3. Huh i thought a NH-L9x65 has better cooling than a NH-L12. Especially when you put a normal noctua 25mm thick fan on it rather than the slim 12mm one.
  4. I see. I'll take z690 boards into account then. Is there anything else i might have missed specing out my system? From cooling to cpu choice.
  5. I thought bios flashback is just to reset bios settings and not update them? Or am i misstaken?
  6. The problem wkth Z690 is that 13th gen support out of the box is not guaranteed and needs a bios update with a 12th gen or lower and i know nobody with those cpus
  7. I live in austria and i use "geizhals.at" as my main resource to find the cheapest offers for components. For AM5, not sure how amd with ddr5 performance is atm, my last infos were that the experience is not too good. Also in general i prefer how stable intel always seems to be. Had 0 ossues over 5 systems with intel. (Tho ofc they can have fuckups too)
  8. Hi all! I'm currently trying to build a small formfactor PC and i'm struggling with deciding on CPU/Mainboard combination. So my original plan was to get a i5 13600K cpu paired with a ASUS STRIX B760-I ITX motherboard. However i read online that 13th gen intel processors are on 100% voltage and that you can't undervolt them on a B760 chipset, which might be suboptimal for SFX cases considering that there is almost no performance loss when doing so on those chips. now my question is, is it smarter to go for a Z790 motherboard (100€ more) instead, or should i go from a i5 13600K to a i7 13700F (30€ over the i5) and give away my overclocking options. Planning to Pair with a Noctua NH-L9x65 OR a Noctua NH-C14S whichever is a smarter choice. for build details, i'm going for: Case: Fractal design terra Ram: 32GB Corsair vengance DDR5 6000mhz CL36 PSU: EVGA 750W SFX GPU: Some RTX 4070 while i'm at it, are Palit and Gainward good GPU makers? tending to go for a ASUS Dual 4070 OC however both of those makers also offer an OC version for 50€ cheaper than the asus model. Definetly going for a 4070 as i need the 12gb VRAM and 3080s 2nd hand here are still at BS pricing. also the lower power consumotion of the 4070 is smth i want cuz EU power pricing
  9. Hi all! Let me first off say that i have little to no experience with servers (hardware / software) but i do build and watercool my own PCs. Since i have no idea where to start, i have a small list of things that it should be able to do listed from top to bottom with must haves and nice to haves. ---must haves--- >NAS >being able to install and launch games on the NAS so the PCs in my home will not require any storage other than the bootdrive >Plex server with remote access >2.5gig networking >power efficient (europes prices are hell atm) ---nice to haves--- >hosting a website 24/7 >hosting a e-mailserver >hosting game servers for gmod/csgo/minecraft for up to 12 players So i want to know if i can achieve these requirements, and if so what kind of hardware / software i would need, and how to set it up that way. Informative videos on such topics would be amazing aswell, as i don't even know how to search for my edge case. Thanks! -sell
  10. ah that might be a problem for my grandma tho. That's also the main reason she doesn't want in-ears also noise bleed isn't too much of a problem as she is in a solo room. as long the bleed isn't louder than tv speakers lol are there maybe pads out of a more breatheable material that don't seal the ears off that hard?
  11. Hi! so TL:DR my grandma got released from the hospital and now has to reside in an old people's home. Due to regulations she can't turn the TV up by much using speakers so she's in need of wireless headphones. She can't use in-ears and needs something lightweight with not much pressure on the head, so comfty over-ears would be needed. However i got no clue about current headphones as i never buy wireless stuff. Price range is up to 30-60€ish. They don't have to be the best sounding ones just good enough for eldery people to hear TV audio propperly. would be nice for any recommendations as google only spits out the TOP 15 HEADPHONES OF 2021 trash lists
  12. i'm having 100% the same issue however i think that the bootloader got installed on my windows drive as in the bios the windows and ubuntu start is on the same 1TB ssd instead of ubuntu being on the 500gb one. how did something like that happen?
  13. that explains alot. the manual included with the box doesn't have any mention of it and it's not even 80 pages thick xd thank you all so much i'll try it tomorrow
  14. I'm running a ROG STRIX Z390-E mainboard and tbh the bios of that one confuses me alot of times. do you have any guidance for me to do that easily? thanks!
