in terms of overclocking potential, they are both as good, so just go with the one that has the features you need.

The Steel Legend should be good for overclocking a 6/8-core, though I wouldn't go higher than that without some airflow on those VRM heatsinks.

The Strix should have no problem with even an overclocked 16-core but, if the front panel Type-C and POST code are more important to you than overclocking potential, by all means you could just go with the SL.

From what I have heard, these perform very nicely for their price, and are the sweet spot for Zen 3.

Depends on how close you are too, don't forget. I'd say around 16dB - 22dB is the sweet spot, barely a whisper.

Use something like a decibel/sound meter app on your phone to see what you find acceptable.

There are two types of rigs:

    1. Loud and cool
    2. Quiet and warm

You need to choose which one you want and then set your rig up for that.

I go for warm and quiet so pick a temperature on the higher end and set the fans to keep things around those temps.

Once you get a feel for how temps work in your case it’s not hard to dial in a fan curve. You just have to choose your objective and then feel out the temp target.

Finally dial the curve in so it’s quieter when you need it and cooler  when you need it. For me I sacrifice temps for quiet to all but the extremes of the fan curves I set.

Could be your fans being clogged up with dust. Spray them with small amounts of compressed air - don't overspin them.

As it goes, I would say PewDiePie is one of the least controversial big content creators. If you ignore all the bs articles written about him, all the quotes taken out of context and all the JOKES he makes, he is never offensive, never in the wrong and never outright racist/antisemitic/whatever else. He slipped up with the n-word thing; I, and he, and many of the youtube community agree that was stupid and pointless. But if you actually watch his content, and get to know his personality more, it is Clear that he is not a bad person - just likes edgy jokes, as many people do. All of you crying about how he made light of the pandemic are utter babies - he was just laughing about CV memes, like a normal person does. I am personally happy about this 'collab', I think that PewDiePie is the ideal 'collab' partner and I think this video is amazing. It really shows how far LMG has come, not only with their custom engineering segments, but as a brand. Well done LMG!

Maybe a Computer Hardware Diagnosis challenge? Public bring their broken hardware, contestants are told information about it (what isn't working, symptoms etc.) and the first one to guess the problem wins a Titan RTX or something.

ChazzerDaMan reacted to TVwazhere in Does PCPartPicker include Tax?
PcPartPicker only pulls the listed price from the website. It does not include tax unless the price is "VAT" (which a lot of European countries include). In the US, we pay tax based on the county of the state we line in, so unless PCPartPicker knows our location (which they do not) they cannot accurately calculate taxes.

Corsair is one of the good manufacturers that specify which chips they are using by having a ver x.xx stated on the sticker.
3200 MHz 14-14-14 is a Samsung B-die, the looser timings are "lootbox" as Buildzoid calls it. 3200 16-18-18 are just some random crappy chips.
